How Urban Meyer has transformed Ohio State in the last six years

Agree....but it's March and he accepted commits from two VERY low rated recruits (one who had an offer from Jackson State - true story). Nobody should be that desperate in March (and it was actually February when those two kids committed). Again, they MAY turn out to be stars at UF....but there's a higher probability that a higher ranked kid will become a star.

I'm all in on DM (like I have a choice), but these two new pick-ups are underwhelming to say the least. The WR at least is supposed to be really fast - which begs the question: Why doesn't anyone else worth a damn want him? I'm determined to stay as positive as possible, but we ain't beating UGA and FSU with mid-range 3 stars. We've been down that road to nowhere before. Just saying.

You're honestly telling us that Mark Dantonio is a better coach than Urban Meyer? The guy that went 3-9 (including 1-8 in an "easy" conference) just two years ago?

:drunk2:

And after reading that article, you're still under the opinion that Meyer is just loafing it like Blobby in an easy conference? I understand people like yourself hate him for leaving, but that is preposterous.

Ohio State had a "down" year last year, and still won the conference over all the other coaches you mentioned.

FYI - I am not mad that he left, I am mad that he lied about the reason and that he trashed UF after leaving.

Oh, and since 2011, Dantonio has won 2 conference championships (one vs Meyer) whereas Meyer has only won two with a much better roster. Meyer has a top 3 recruiting class every year.

And who is responsible for that? His secretary? Recruiting is part of the job, perhaps Dantonio should get off his ass and try it some time. Then maybe he wouldn't have 3-9 seasons.

Meyer won two NC's for us, that far outweighs how he left in my view. I'd take that trade-off every single time. Meyer doesn't get judged on conference championships.....like Saban, it's NC or bust. Dantonio will never sniff one.

If MSU wants to reach the mountaintop, then they should go get Meyer and send Dantonio to the Sun Belt where he belongs.

He is an elite recruiter, one of the best. No one other than Saban has ever recruited like him.

He is also the best ST coordinator ever.

He demands great defense and puts functional (if conservative) offense on the field.

He is an ******* and a weasel but you cant act like the man cant coach.
