If we don't land this kid at QB I'm curious who would be #1 on the QB board:

QB Jalon Jones nearing decision
One of Florida’s top quarterback targets reportedly will make his decision next month.

The father of 3-star quarterback Jalon Jones told 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong that his son wants to commit and shut down his recruitment by the end of April. Jones’ father also said that Florida, North Carolina State, Ohio State and Virginia are the four schools he’s focusing on.

This development puts pressure on the Gators to get Jones on campus in a hurry. He committed to Mullen last year when he was at Mississippi State, but has yet to visit Gainesville since landing an offer from Florida on Dec. 11.

Jones visited Virginia on Feb. 10 and will be back for a spring practice. He received an offer from the Buckeyes on March 2 and visited Ohio State the following day, making plans to return on March 29.

The 6-foot-3, 180-pound signal caller has stated that Florida will receive an official visit, but no date has been set. With Jones reportedly moving up his commitment timeline, Mullen likely will push for him to make that trip in April.
Sounds like he's Urban's to lose, IMO.

News & notes
  • The Gators extended an offer Tuesday to Ben Coleman, a 3-star lineman from Linfield Christian School in Temecula, Calif. Florida is recruiting the 6-3, 300-pound prospect as a defensive tackle. He holds a dozen offers, including Cal, Nebraska and Oregon.

I hope not. Urban is late to the game. Kid lives in Baltimore, it's about a 4 hour drive to OSU, so that's probably why he's visited there (and UVA). He committed to Mullen at MSU, so they have the strongest relationship. But....if I were a HS kid from up this way it would be hard to not want to go to OSU.

I'd assume we have no shot at this kid:

WR Pittman to visit UF
Top247 wide receiver to visit UF

https://florida.247sports.com/Artic...-Mycah-Pittman-to-visit-Gainesville-116235100

Florida opens spring practices this coming weekend, meaning several recruits will also be on campus to observe and meet with coaches. Add another big-time recruit to the list of visitors with Calabasas (Calif.) four-star wide receiver Mycah Pittman to the list of names expected on campus.

The 6-foot, 195-pound Pittman will be in town on Saturday. Pittman is the son of former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Michael Pittman. He is also the younger brother of USC wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr.

The industry-generated 247Sports Composite currently ranks Pittman as the nation's No. 52 overall prospect in the 2019 class.

He came close to committing to us last year. His dad loves UF and Corral and Pittman were on the same team.

4-star LB sets UF visit
Four-star LB set to visit UF soon

https://florida.247sports.com/Bolt/...e-Starks-sets-Florida-Gators-visit--116244179

After landing an offer from the Florida Gators back in January, Marrero (LA) John Ehret linebacker Donte Starks is set to make his first visit to the University of Florida next month.

On Wednesday evening the four-star defender announced a trio of visits he would be taking this offseason, with the Gators set to land a two day visit.

The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder currently holds over 20 offers at this time, and named the in-state LSU Tigers as his top school at the end of January. The Tigers also hold the edge in the 247Sports Crystal Ball with 100-percent of the predictions.

247Sports currently ranks Starks as the Nation's No. 37 overall prospect in the 2019 recruiting class.

That's good to hear. Being a west coast kid....and w/ his brother at USC, I figure we'd be a really long shot.

I'm not a recruiting guy, but I am bored. From a glance, looking only at a few mins of hudl, in my preferred order:

This kid looks really good for what Mullinz runs:

And I really like the quick release of this kid and he already knows how to air it out some to give the receivers time to adjust. Surely he ends up somewhere other than Loovull.

He looks the part and I've heard his name:
https://n.rivals.com/content/prospects/2019/taisun-phommachanh-51179

He is on the radar. I just don't trust IMG.

Good work, Law.

IMO, it's either Jalon Jones or Baldwin. I think we land 2 IMG kids this year also, not sure if one of those two will be Baldwin or not. I'm concerned Jones may be headed to Ohio State (their QB board looks real good for a 2019 HS kid).
