Posting this up because I'm tired of the foot dragging by the UAA.

They are tearing down the south endzone in March for an expected opening in late August 2019 (before the season starts). They are spending $98 million!! It looks sharp too.

At the rate we're going, we won't have new facilities until 2020 at the earliest - and that's if they start it next calendar year. So, Mullen is forced to show drawings/pictures to recruits. "Hey, if you come here you'll have this nice facility when you're a senior!"

The project, which will cost $98 million, will provide state-of-the-art training facilities for Missouri, while also adding premium seating opportunities and game-day enhancements for fans. It was approved by the university’s board of curators in August.

The project is not expected to be completed until August 2019, according to the website, which will also be providing updates throughout the demolition of the current structure and construction of the new one.

“This project would not be possible without the generosity of our donors, and we are very grateful for their support of Mizzou,” Missouri chancellor Alexander Cartwright said in a statement at the time the project was announced. “As an SEC institution, this project will allow us to remain competitive in the top athletic conference in the country. Athletics continues to be one avenue that brings our campus together and to inform people across the nation about the quality of education and the opportunities that are available to students who choose to make MU their academic home.”

But I bet they aren't spending 50 million on their baseball stadium so we got them beat there. We're ahead of the curve on everyone in that dept. In fact I don't see anyone else letting their FB facilities fall farther behind in order to spend their budget and years delay on BB. Fooley is a true visionary.

So, the entire project is 98 million. From articles I've found, it seems the football facilities themselves will cost between 60-70 million. 19 million for the win. :headslap:

It's all Foley's fault...............

THIS!!!!!

Fooley's incompetence regarding football ( I repeat FOOTBALL). was on clear display the day hired Zook. I don't give a damn what Zook's results were or might have been, any moronic AD would not have even considered a dolt like Zook. So it started then, continues to the present as Fooley's little bytch (Stricknine) walks the line as Fooley pulls the strings!

Unless the projects involve moving the school somewhere better it's a waste of money.

$98 mill when they recently lost a ton of money, enrollees from that BLM fiasco, which directly involved their football program. Arms race? If lots are racing, isn't that a sport too?

Actually – it’s been because AA enrollment took a nose dive after the protests. Combining that with what happened in Ferguson, AAs are not enrolling in Missouri schools.

$98m!
Based on pics that is a shyt ton of $ for what they are building. I suppose the interior facilities are going to be on par with Alabama and Clemson. Its still in Missouri though.

As for us, we are moving at typical goverment pace. My Pop Warner kids will be at Mizzou before UF breaks ground.

Now try to understand this.

The Gators have played in forty-three bowl games, won three national championships (1996, 2006, 2008) and eight Southeastern Conference championships, and produced 138 All-Americans, fifty-three National FootballLeague (NFL) first-round draft choices and three Heisman Trophy winners.

But we don't won't to get into an arms race because we don't want people to think that we are a football factory.

I get it...but it's really not the point of the thread. The point of the thread is; UF needs to get off their ass! If a school like Missouri can spend $98 million and get their projects off the ground, WTF are we waiting for? Mullen is showing recruits pictures....yes, PICTURES, of what our facility will - one day - look like. It's inexcusable! Meanwhile, FSU, Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Ohio State, UGA, et al are continuing to out recruit us.
