Other than the fact that you can't see a damn thing in that video, it was awesome.

Go through the link and click the video. Works. Jones throws a nice deep ball to Cleveland in stride.

Wouldn't it be nice ... again.

*Sigh*

It's just amazing what you can do when no DB or pass rush is on the field...

My expectations are to the point where I thought maybe the two of them were smart enough to go outside while hitting the bong....

I used to walk past the practice field every day in school. Wuerffel and Kresser and company would be out there most days, usually w 5-8 receivers, just runing routes on air. Over and over again. Mostly the intermediate stuff that was really the meat of our playbook. So fast, over and over again.

6 days a week. Early in the morning, late in afternoon, almost any day when it wasnt storming.

Wuerrfel threw the ball to then same spot (there were spots called in the playbook, which depended on coverages, like 17 yards deep on the left hash for the TE delay or whatever) and the receiver was expected to be there at the right time.

QB didnt have to adjust tonthe recievers, receivers didnt adjust to the WR, they just ran the play and did their job, to perfection.

Id like to all of our receivers on that practice field w EJ and Franks, no storms in there, running the dink and dunk that Meyer will actually be calling. (Maybe they were and this is just someones favorite highlight.)

My thought was, "where are the rest of the WRs/QBs?"

Hopefully they're doing the right things and getting in a ton of reps.

This is good.

EJ has to believe that based on the competition the only thing standing between him and the starting QB slot is his own self-discipline and motivation.

If he puts it all together this summer Mullen will hand him the keys.

If Meyer calls our plays this year, I will look for a big improvement in our offense.
