Wow. What a kick in the nuts.

I still want to know why Mullen didn't pursue him. He's better than any QB on our roster. Makes no sense...

Yeah, I don't know why Mullen did not pursue him!

Maybe Mullen didn't want to continue the track of bringing in graduate QBs...

The thing is.. it isn't like we tried and lost... we just didn't try... I am hoping Mullen had a good reason.

The more important thing is that Burrow is a dual threat QB and Mullinz is a guy who uses dual threat QBs.

Sharkfvkker and Crew have no idea what to do with a dual threat QB. Or any QB. All they know how to do is bash the middle with the tailback and throw screens.

What the hell was up with the WR screen? I feel like every 3rd or 4th play was a screen. I don't recall anyone breaking that for anything significant though I could be wrong.

Very true, they play similarly, although Burrow has more experience, at least in HS.

And Burrow was raised in the game as his Dad is a 13 year veteran coach at Ohio University

We weren't even finalists in spite of the obvious need and a switch to an offense strikingly similar to the one he tried hitching onto at Ohio State.

That may tell you something, namely that he no longer sees himself as a good fit for the read or that he views it as a dead end road as far as the NFL goes.

Mullen made no effort to get him to come here and will live to regret it. He doesn't know how bad Franks is when it's nut cutting time.

That's very possible. LSU isn't exactly running a mobile qb / read option type offense.

I'm pretty sure he knows what he has in Franks and I'm not so convinced he wouldn't have wanted Burrow here for that reason. Mullen knows how to lay in the weeds and pounce when opportunity knocks.

I'm not sure he was ever afforded that opportunity.

BTW, in my mind this virtually guarantees that Jones not only does not redshirt but that he sees meaningful playing time in 2018.

There's some smoke that Meyer blocked him from transferring to UF. That's what is being rumored at the moment and it's coming from inside the program. If this turns out true urban is still the pecker head we all knew he was!

Kid is a graduate. Meyer has no control whatsoever.

What does it matter if hr brings in a grad transfer? Its not like he recruited franks.
