How's our scholarship break down now? This also ensures we do not pursue a grad transfer, right?

Hudson returning....makes us a lot better next year!!!!!!

That remains to be seen. Last year seemingly Hudson's game got in the way of Allen's game.

Now maybe it was the combination of Hudson and Koulechov and with no Koulechov this year there will be room for both Allen and Hudson. Still it puts UF into a 3 guard situation and I think that puts a pretty ceiling on the tourney for UF.

Well this puts UF at 13 so no room now. I do wonder if this will cause anyone else like say Ballard change their mind about staying?

Hudson is the best scorer we have. He is a little streaky, but hopefully after seeing what happened this year in the NBA he will be really coachable and improve his game and the team in general.

Frangie was talking about this on the radio. He said he was told Hudson's game really messed with Allen's in a bad, bad way. Personally, Hudson coming back seriously dims my hopes for b-ball next season.

I questioned if we would be better off if he went to the NBA. One year of him vs perhaps multiple years of another young recruit. I hope nobody else declines to be a Gator and maybe we could get a walk on or two. Seems a manager made a valuable addition to our team not that long ago.

If this is true and I believe it is, coach better address it. He could sit on the bench before I would allow him to mess up team chemistry.

Allen can’t be the only high volume scorer. If he has an issue with that then he won’t make it in the NBA. I’d take Hudson over Allen at this point and I’m glad he decided to return.

If Hudson hurt Allen's game I think that is probably more on Allen than on Hudson. Allen has not shown the consistent drive to be a consistent force during the game. He is way too passive. There are games when he gets aggressive and does great, but in general he lacks that killer instinct. He needs to grow a set and get mean on the court.

There was good and bad with that decision.

Other than him tipping in a shot for FSU by mistake I can't remember anything bad about it. Perhaps you could be more specific as I am interested.

You make it sound like that was just one tiny little detail.

To me it was, he made many other positive contributions, on the court, in leadership, and it getting positive stories in the media. I bet he hated doing it far more than anybody else.

How many plays did he participate in? How many were positive and how many negative?

Now of course that error could have cost us one game.

As another example of how I view the game many times people whine about missed free throws near the end of the game. I am concerned about every miss, after all they all count one point so misses early in the game are just as important as those at the end. Same with makes.

Man, you really don’t detect humor very well, do ya?

I felt horrible for the kid when that happened. I don’t know how much he contributed to the team (minutes, leadership, etc), but I remember a few folks here looking forward to having a roster that didn’t require walk-ons.

White has spoken about Allen's passiveness a ton. The kid hasn't changed yet. Hopefully the new pg will be a better floor leader than Chiozza which shouldn't be to hard. That might offset the lack of chemistry between the 2.
