Read that Lebron pulled a Muschamp after game 1 and played hurt the whole series. I’m sure that’s why the Cavs lost.

Man, he went out like a little beotch too. Ouch. I hope LA is his destination. Talk about Schadenfreude.

The most disappointing part of this for Lebron is that he doesn't get to snub Trump

LeBron has now lost as many Finals as Jordan won. :snicker:
You can't be the GOAT with that record.

Oh, wait. Maybe you can.

Occurs to me that LeBron - MJ is akin to Wilt - Russell.

One is clearly the superior physical specimen, athlete and stat machine who won championships.

The other is supremely gifted athletically as well, but had an extra gear of competitive will that lifted their teams and them to championships.

It mainly works, esp re the competitive heart. Jordan to me was the most supremely gifted athlete ever. James is obviously gifted, too, but more in a powerful sense. I'll never put LeBron's skillset at the same level as MJ's.

MJ did lead the league in scoring AND was defensive player of the year multiple times each.

It was that athleticism + crazy work/study ethic + will.

For example, Dominique was a similarly gifted athlete, and I’m sure he worked and played hard. But he wasn’t on Jordan’s level. Not close.

When I think of squandered athletic ability, the first name that comes to my mind is Vince Carter. I think he could have been way better if he had the work ethic and actually cared.

I prefer athleticism to brute force. So MJ get's my vote. It's that simple.

But Mebron isn't a brute force guy anyway, unless he just has 40 pounds on the guy. He is soft as hell. MJ would take the ball inside against anyone and embarrass most. Bronbron just passes back outside if his shot or drive is contested.

If he reads this, he’ll be on the floor flopping around crying for a foul call.

And leadership, that includes taking less money to get a better chance at more rings. Not to mention making a big deal of returning home and then apparently leaving again.

I think of going to work or play sports at UF, I would never leave of my own volition, not for any amount of money or championships.

Late to opining about Game 4, but the Defense that GS played in that game was tremendous. It was very obvious to me that CLE refused to match the intensity and effort that GS had last night. Lebron especially. Even commentator Jackson mentioned Lebron's lack of effort on may occasions.

I never saw MJ quit. Ever. I've seen Lebron do it in the playoffs on a few occasions now. Just outright quit. There is no comparing the two.

Just at the time when a lot of naysayers were beginning to accept the idea of LeBron being in the conversation. Never again. Quitting is a permanent disqualifier.
