I just got home from the game and I can tell you that the crowd was really into this game like no other.

The intensity was palpable in the stands, just when you thought the game would go on forever, Langworthy puts an end to it. Amazing!!!

Home and in bed now. I'm still stunned. I saw things in this game tonight that I've never seen. I'm hoarse and I think I strained a quad in the celebration.

I can't express how stunning that was to witness but players on both sides were just as stunned. Almost the entire Auburn team squatted down right where they were on the field but I also saw several Gators do the same thing; just stunned by what they saw. That was an "I was there!" game.

Great finish to a great Super. It was such a close series, the 1st game being an anomaly. It would really be awesome if all our players' bats could wake up AT THE SAME TIME in Omaha, instead of just one guy being the hero and then the goat the next series.

Hope this gives us momentum heading to Omaha and not just an emotional high to come out flat the first game there.

I thought Langworthy hit the ball well most of the whole Super, so I'm glad to see him make this memory!

How does this compare with Jordan's walkoff to send the Gator Girls to OKC in softball?

I knew when they went to the bullpen it was over. Any pitcher that comes in with the label of "power" pitcher will get hammered by this team.

And that's all that matters. We're going to Omaha baby, ready to do it again! Good game Auburn you left it all out there. Who was the assclown announcer that was slobbering knob about anything Alabama the whole damn game?

I didn't catch the Bama stuff, but I did catch that he was a clown.

Oh wow what a happy finish to a tight and frustrating game. More base running errors to give away outs, more clutch pitching and a superb sneak run. Auburn made several lights out defensive plays. That kid who pitched long relief for them was solid.

And while I’m thrilled for our CWS berth, I also said “Ouch” out loud when I saw the ball careen off the AU outfielder’s glove for the winning home run. What an awful moment for him. Almy wife said, “Why couldn’t it have been just out of reach?”

I thought the ball wouldn’t have cleared the fence without that bounce, but I’m not sure.

Your thoughts?
Feel sorry for the kid. That’s surely something he’ll never ever forget. But at the same time, screw’em. He ain’t a Gator.... sooooo he’s GATOR BAIT.

MAD and DGD summed up the feeling at the park. Tense from about the 5th inning on. Leftwich is very good but he has these 6-8 pitch lulls where he can't find the plate. But when he throws strikes he is very good. Mace held down the fort and Sully went to the only bullpen guy he trusts and Byrne delivered. he was great and went away from those first pitch fastballs just to get ahead and in fact threw very few fastballs all nite, which it what AU hammered in game 2. speaking of fastballs, I know we like to run up opponents pitch counts, but often times we look at a fast strike on pitch 1 right down the middle and we don;t see another good one the entire at bat. Sometimes you have to hack early when you are struggling to get a good swing. BTW Daniel the AU reliever, as mentioned, was outstanding. Thank goodness they came and got him

We scored on 2 solos and a great decoy play allowing Reese to easily steal home. Pitcher got confused and Horvath did an excellent job. Langworthy swinging great and not just the HR but had 2 hits taken away from him by great defense. Dalton had a terrible weekend especially on basepaths and have no idea what he was doing getting doubled off 1B. If it was hit and run as soon as you hear the contact, you must find the ball or find the 3B coach. If there is any chance the ball will be caught you have to at least be no more than on 2B. Poor defense also by him in RF most of the weekend but he did make a very good throw to home to almost get the runner but the call was correct.

Still had trouble hitting with runners in scoring position and/or getting guys home from 3B with less than 2 outs. But a darn good 3 game series that could have gone either way. Great to still be one of the 8 remaining so we have a chance, but still say we have to pick up the pace in the situational baseball category.

Kudos to that AUB pitcher Daniels. He was filthy for several innings, after throwing in Game 2 also.

Yeah, they kept calling that pitcher the bull. Well, Langworthy neutered the bull!!!
However, we made a bad error in right field, catcher was shaky on defense and abysmal at the plate and we had 2 baserunning blunders. Amazing we're going back to Omaha, but they've got to play cleaner as the competition ramps up.
