Did he have an ACL? Guys tend to be a little tentative for a while, often a year, after one of those. Davis is a better back for the edge stuff Mullinz wants to run, but Scarlett isn't chopped liver either.Davis may have the starting role by the opening game. Scarlett won't beat him out if he gets back close to 100%.

Like others, I think Davis is the best talent we've had at RB in ages - the excitement at his return is fully justified. But Heggie's return to full speed is just as important, and due to the reccurring problems on the OL, he might be a bigger addition, at least at first, than Davis. Having those two back at full speed by the 3rd or 4th game would be huge.

I think that is the norm, even w Mullinz. We only inverted it bc of Tebow (and he did the same for Dak).Don't you think with Jones at QB you'll probably see the roles invert, with the backs going inside and the QB taking the outside read?

It'll be almost 10 full months. We have options though. I'm curious if Scarlett found his credit card yet....
This is good news.

One of the biggest things to look for in fall camp is weather or not Heggie moves to Center. That will cause a bit of a ripple effect along the line w/ McCoy taking a back seat. I really hope someone displaces Fred Johnson at OG. He's our biggest liability.
