I assume we'll actually play someone at QB, and I don't guarantee a win, but if a POS like Miss St is considered some insurmountable foe then fuk-it, declare Foley the winner and sh!t-can the whole program, or maybe see if we can get an invite to the ACC.

I get what you're saying. But this is the 2018 season we're talking about. Miss State will have a very good team this year. Mullen left them in good shape. In fact, I'd be surprised if we don't get blown out. Here's why: they (the players) really, really want to beat Dan Mullen - they'll be highly motivated.....and so will the fans; it will likely be a night game; the place will be rocking (to get "revenge" on the guy who left them because they weren't "good enough" for him); THEY are a top 25 team....and we aren't (yet); THEY have a good QB returning (we don't); Joe Moorehead is actually a good coach (and he's kicking ass on the recruiting trail....or at least he's kicking Dan Mullen's ass); their D will be very good. I could go on and on.

Like I said, I'm talking about the 2018 season. I'm not saying 3 years from now they'll beat us. I'm talking 2018. Mullen was handed a box of dog sh*t. It's going to take more than 6 or 7 games to get it turned around. I've predicted a 6 win season this year....which is a 50% improvement over last year. This thing is going to take time.

Wouldn't that be a 100% improvement? (new - old)/(old) x 100%.

This is interesting about how classes are calculated in the rankings:

The way the metrics of these national composite rankings work is they calculate only the top 22 players in each school’s class. That’s to account for the differences when teams sometimes sign more or sometimes less than the 25-a-year that’s allowed by NCAA rule.

--------------

UGA has now lost 2 members of their #1 ranked class. Should it still be ranked #1 then?

They lost a CB and a DT to grades (going to JUCO instead). Also, RB James Cook has yet to arrive on campus (still has plenty of time, but the remainder of the class has enrolled) - he's apparently got to get some courses worked out (he moved up from the 2019 class to the 2018 class, so he probably added a class or two to get the minimum credits to graduate):

Our players on Rivals:

Big move for LB Tyron Hopper, from N/R 4* to 245th overall.
DT Jaelin Humphries dropped a few spots to 212th overall.
QB Jalon Jones went from 3* to N/R 4* and 9th overall dual threat. He from a 5.6 to 5.8. He's still not inside the top 300 though. They haven't updated his size (now 6'4 205).

This kid is a lower ranked 3-star, but rising. Looking to return for another visit....we need some Plan B OL's and this kid seems like a good option there:

Kieondre Jones is visiting UF this weekend. He's been rumored to Auburn quite a bit lately. Hopefully this visit puts him back on our side.
