I doubt it would. Mac won the division twice and still sucked. Recruiting is about selling dreams and on field results has minimal impact imo.
Mac was lazy. Mullen's hustling coupled with the progessing on a new football center plus 10 wins would definitely help recruiting.

Because the other SEC rosters on our schedule suck too. No one has made the argument that UF has a championship roster, I just think most of the games on the schedule are winnable because the SEC is in the toilet.
The games UF can lose include:

Kentucky: because UF is installing a brand new system. If we start Franks and he continues to throw interceptions he could lose that game for us. Hopefully Mullen pulls him quickly if he goes back to throwing interceptions.

UT: First road game for our new QB if Franks beaten out

LSU: If accurate 4 star QB transfer Burrow can pick up their system. LSU would finally have a QB to go with their talent

Miss State:back to back road game after UT (Mullen left them with some talent)

FSU: Road game and they have higher rated talent than UF

UGA: higher rated talent than UF

Those are 6 games UF can lose.

If Mullen can get our young QBs to think quicker (especially if he can get Franks to stop throwing interceptions and get him to throw the ball away) we can win some of the above if we finally have good injury luck. If our injury rate normalizes and the QBs get it together we will surprise the pundits again.

He's hands down the biggest butters pumper. He's now in jail
Butters's big mouth took him out in season three. Once he found out about the 9 suspended players you could tell he knew it was game over for him. He simply got out worked in recruiting and tried to blame it all on facilities. His laziness and big mouth costed him millions in his buyout.

Just remember that in 2010 our facilities were already far behind everyone else’s. We also had the nation’s #1 recruiting class.

Exactly. Everything I read about millennials points to them preferring "the experience" over nice things.

Gator2222. As far as I know this is mostly speculation. He posted a lot of video breaking down how great mac's offense was. Looked like actual team video from inside the program..Around October of last year he said he was going to have to take a break from posting for a while as he was real busy... Then a story broke about a university employee heading to prison..2222??? He was definitely a mac nutswinger...

Just FYI... Millennials aren't college age anymore. This group of kids in college are Generation Z, aka the iGeneration.

UF's ace in the hole is our geographic location closer to the top talent. In 2010 our additional strength was the national championships occurring in 2 of the prior 4 years. Plus we did the 28 million dollar Swamp front door renovation in 2008. Currently we have not had a national championship for a decade. National championships help recruiting.

Mac's offense needed dominating OLS and a healthy smart QB. Did not have those last year. His laziness in recruiting caught up to him in year 3.

Yep Mac just lived off Muschamp's defensive recruits the first 2 years.

Thought I’d post this here, but I’m so glad we told a potentially great coach he couldn’t bring his staff, while Mullen can load up on his MSU staff all he wants. At least Mullen went undefeated last year with his group . . . Thanks Strickley (caveat - yes, I know he’s a UN alum and other factors were at play, but it’s hard not to feel we didn’t give ourselves a true shot at a potential star 100 miles away.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Sean Beckton says Florida asked Scott Frost to be head coach. But Florida would not allow him to bring all his staff, so Frost said no. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Huskers?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Huskers</a></p>&mdash; Christopher Heady (@heady_chris) <a href="">June 12, 2018</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Frost was never really an option here in reality.
I liked Frost and wanted to see him hear!!! I think he would have just won some games and jumped ship like Urban did!!! Mullins I think will dig in and stay for the long haul... He's back in Fl where the talent pool is one of if not the best in the country!!! His record at Miss might look average or a little above for them but now he has the UF brand and the state of Fl to use to recruit from!!! This will give him the higher ranked and better overall players to take us back to the top of the mountain and stay there !!!! We no he's got the mind and now he's got the golden key that he lacked at Miss We have all seen what he did at Miss with a less than stellar talent pool and name brand and look at what he did with that turd so just emagen what he should be able to do now!!! If he can walk it like he talks it life for Gators football will be back to being FEARED & HATED by all that must step on the feild with us!!!
IT'S TIME FOR US TO RECLAIM OUR THRONE!!!

It wasnt his mouth.

If you are winning, no one cares if a coach looks or sounds stupid.
He'd have ultimately been gone but his mouth hastened his exit by probably a year. That and stupid shyt like walking off the field after the horrendous loss to Georgia grinning from ear to ear.
