Crete, cars are one of the shyttier investments you can make. Having a car you really like to drive sit in the garage because you've convinced yourself that turning it into a garage queen will significantly enhance its value, is just plain flawed thinking.

It's a freaking car. Drive it.

You bought if for the driving enjoyment, now go do the car and yourself a favor and go run the piss out of it regularly. The car will thank you and and you'll be a lot happier.
Not really my thought process regarding value and such....78, you daily drive a high powered technologically advanced car that has some of the best features available. Your car is smooth riding, has numerous driving modes, excellent brakes, all wheel drive, advanced traction control, electronically tuned suspension that reacts in milliseconds and probably has a very pleasing interior and every modern gadget..... The truth is these S197 era Mustangs(06-14) just aren't that great of daily drivers.....live axle suspension(although mine has coilovers and other upgrades)seats that could have been from the 1990's, squeaks, clanks, clutch that could double as a leg press, non existent traction control, and long tube headers are all part of the charm of owning one.....And some the reasons I prefer not to daily the Shelby....When I want to enjoy deafening exhaust, smokey burnouts and doughnuts as well as fishtailing like crazy at speeds pushing the legal limits then I drive the Shelby.

Oh, I get it. Not a DD, but enough that it doesn't collect a thick layer of dust in the garage.

BTW, I did the same thing until my last car, a 2015 981 GTS. I drove the WRX daily and the Cayman on the weekends. The 981 was a garage queen. After awhile, I decided I had enough of messing with two cars and sold the WRX.

So I started driving the Cayman regularly. It had the Porsche Sport Exhaust, which rips when you get on it but has a noticeable drone from 2200 to 2800 RPM. It got to the point where I started to experience hearing loss. That's when I dumped the 981 and picked up the Audi.

I'm ok with you trying to run me off the road just don't ruin my Saturday morning topdown cruise thru Downtown by hitting me head on when were practically the only 2 cars on the road  .....

I'll bet 78 would reconsider daily driving his $200K sophisticated sport missile if he had to deal with Ovilles confuncted mess....

Than you for the backhand compliment, but I didn't pay anywhere near that much. Mine is a 2010.

My dad gave me his car when I turned 16 in 1992. It was a white 1971 Ford Galaxy 500. There was no way to hide in this thing, so I just had to embrace it. It was indestructible and the size of an aircraft carrier. This was during the big hooptie car craze, so it was actually very popular. I had about 100 black guys stop me and offer to buy it.

Looked like this one, but not nearly as nice.

After a few years, I purchased my 1st car. A 1986 Pontiac 6000 STE. Had a very fast 3.8L V6 in it. Got it up to 138mph. Pontiac tried to make it look all space age and digital inside. Lasted me all through college.

Upon graduating, I leased a 2000 Honda Civic Si. Also damn fast. Identical to this one. I think that lease was $159 a month.

In 2003, I turned in the lease and bought a Ford Exporer Sport Trac. Very functional.

Then in 2005, I bought my current F150 SuperCrew 4x4 when all the car companies panicked. Ford offered "employee" pricing and I picked it for $28,000. Currently has 160,000 mile on it. I have no plans to get rid of it any time soon. I havent had a car payment in 9 years.

Debating picking up a slightly used Accord or something (and keeping my truck). Using that as a daily driver for a few years, and then handing it to my daughter when she starts driving.

I love looking at all the nice cars, but never had the bug to spend any money on them.

Right, right...we get it...I mean whats the difference between 140K and 200K to a guy who has Porsche Cayman's and Audi R8's lying around as daily drivers....:lol2:

My point was actually if you saw some of the stupidity that we have on a daily basis here in Orlando you would probably put that car in a museum

Are you sure you won't wake him while stacking books next to the bed to climb up on?
I don't know why he is so pissy about this. The hobbits saved the world. They bow to no one.
