Brad is correct, Rogue Dead Guy is awesome stuff.

Had a few of those to cap off a night of drinking back a few years ago at the Raglan Road in Disney Springs. It's a really good beer, but the combo of other things got to me and I spent the next morning walk to breakfast puking uncontrollably, so I struggle to go back to it. The worst part was you're at a Disney resort with kids (not ours) looking on. You can't just let it go. So I kept having to hide it and play it off like I was inspecting the flower beds roughly every 20 feet as families walk by. Terrible.

Shame, because it's a solid beer.

I’m proud to say I haven’t puked from drinking since my 21st birhthday. Yeah, I’ve passed out a few dozen times but I’ve not puked. :bananadance2:

ugh. The older we get, the smarter we have to be. Once you pass 40, recovering from a hangover is like recovering from surgery.

All time favorite beer is Rogue Dead Guy Ale from Newport, OR.

Other favorites:
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and their Kellerweis. That Kellerweis is amazing. Their brewery in NC is a must see.

From Dogfish Head, their 90 Minute IPA is phenomenal if you like IPAs. They pull off a 120 minute that is very hard to find. Their session sour is currently my favorite poolside/beach beer:

Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy is my other favorite poolside. It's pretty much half lemonade.

Breckenridge's Vanilla Porter is huge favorite:

As well as Oskar Blues Ten Fidy:

As well as New Holland's Dragon Milk:

For mowing the grass and hot Florida outdoor projects... any of the light domestics work fine to stay hydrated. I just want them ice cold.

Hell, I could go on and on. The more I type, the more I think of.
Luv most of those. Will need to try the others.

Aint that the truth. Its like three damn days now.

Thiamine and other B Vits, Vit D and plenty of others. Water. Lots of it.

The pre-bed formula is at least one glass of 1/3 Gatorade and 2/3 water. Outside of just a dancing with death bender, you'll be light years ahead of the game the following day, and very rarely have any headache.

I agree though that the recovery time is just on a whole new level when and if things do go south. I'm 38 and make a conscious effort, for multiple reasons, to avoid that. The only down side is you do miss out on that first day back feeling once the pain has subsided and you've properly rested up, when you feel like a completely new man that could take on a grizzly bear. Those were enjoyable.

Went to a buddy's house last night for bbq. I offered to bring some beer, but he says don't worry I have plenty. I get there and all he has is different IPAs. Man, I really hate IPAs. They are the Starbucks Coffee of beers. Give me a Guiness or a Kilkenny or even a damn Summer Shandy half lemonade thingy before handing me one of those.

It’s a shame you don’t care for IPAs as SD has some of the best IPAs in the land coming from Green Flash, Ballast Point, Pizza Port, Stone etc.
A summer shandy lemon thingy is way more fru-fru (similar the Starbucks dbl mocha latte frap) than an IPA is. An IPA is just a pale ale with more hops, so it’s more like an extra strong cup of joe.
