FSU joins growing national trend in construction of football-only facility

FSU joins growing national trend in construction of football-only facility

FSU isn’t Bama or, even Clemson for that matter, when it comes to freely spending money on the football program. FSU also finds itself becoming further removed from the national title and unlike the other mentioned programs.

But, just like the indoor practice facility, with time, FSU will come through.

The original plans were to renovate the current Moore Athletic Center or build around the indoor practice facility. The latter option was chosen with an estimated $65 million going into exterior and interior development of said football-only facility.

The building will be three stories with 135,000 square feet of space dedicated to running FSU like powerhouse program. It’ll cost more, but be a few thousand square feet smaller than Clemson’s. It will be state of the art with all the modern bells and whistles helping the Noles enhance recruiting through facilities.

Who’s is supposed to be better ours or theirs? When is ours suppose to be built again? I know it got pushed back, gonna suck if clowntown gets theirs built before us, since we’ve been talking about building one for two years now. Damn this administration has no sense of urgency, inexcusable to be behind Fsu in facilities and about every other program that cares about football. Oh wait that’s the problem, the administration doesn’t care about football.

Jimbo? He's at Texas A&M, dude. Willie Taggart is the head coach.

I don't like direction of college football nor the NCAA's handling of it by simultaneously positioning itself as puritanical and motivated by greed.

Theres will be done three years before ours and probably paid by tax dollars. They will put some athletic training classes in the basement and call it an academic building.

You assume they have the donor money to build right away. Link?

Three years earlier? Show me the FSU money.

UF has the financial power. FSU just leveraged up and hit alums for their stadium renovation. UF's will be delayed for logistics of moving the baseball stadium not money. FSU will be delayed because of the money.

UF will not have to go 3 stories (less efficient) like FSU and we won't be squeezed into an area bordering street over passes. UF's will have a more collegial design and a have a small park out front and better parking.

FSU can't use state money as there are no classrooms in that facility.

I'm not sure where your version of how they funded their Upgrade to their erectile set football stadium, but the official Gator story is they took every peco dollar allocated to them FOR TWO YEARS and spent it on that sh!thole. If I'm right f them, if you're right f you.

Good to hear. Certainly worth a 3 year wait to ensure a collegial design and better parking.

Tax dollars also paid for their Indoor and the recent upgrades to the stadium. Rick Scott helped them out with that and I wouldn't be shocked to see the state paying for this also.
