I would love to remember all the concerts I've seen.
Mountain & Wet Willy was my first, First time I smelled pot too. Didn't get a t-shirt but I did make-out with two girls in the back seat of her dad's car.
Kiss, 2x
Styx, 2x
Uriah Heep, 2x
Foreigner,
Molly Hatchet (when they played high schools)
38 Special
Skynyrd (post airplane crash)
Blue Oyster Cult,
Aerosmith,
Rush, 2x
Skyhooks,
UFO,
Queen,
Rick Derringer,
Van Halen,
Blackmore's Rainbow,
Angel,
The Stones,
The Beach Boy's
Jan & Dean,
Bruce Springsteen,
Elton John & Billy Joel,
Rod Stewart,
Frank Zappa,
Plasmatics,

More that I can't remember. Biggest regret was never getting a chance to Led Zeppelin. The one time they came to Florida the concert got cancelled because of lightning.

Imagine Dragons (8/10/18): I went with my wife, wife of the couple we hang out with, and their youngest daughter. We got their about 45 minutes before the opening act and never has parked so far from the Amp... It was a hike to get to the car, but got my steps in. It was warmer than it was on Wednesday too, with the seating filled including the lawn.

Grace VanderWall: I don't know how this is other than she is a teenage (guessing by her look) girl who plays the ukulele. Somone nears us said she won one of those tv shows. She had a great voice, but her style just didn't register with any of the four of us.

Imagine Dragons: Started off with a bang, the energy was pretty electric. The music kept coming for the first 3-4 songs, then they got into the stuff that I didn't know. They all sounded the same, and I wasn't that invested. They then did 3 acoustic sounds in the middle of the second seating section, and the lead singer walked while singing one song in the walk way between the 2nd and 3rd level of seats. Security has cleared it out before hand. They then finished on the stage for the last 3 songs which finished very strong. I went in knowing 7-9 songs of the 22 song playlist, came away knowing the same number of songs. It was a really well done show. Would see them again.

1st - Billy Ocean in Columbus, GA circa 1984

Favorite - Pink Floyd on the Division Bell Tour at Legion Field in Birmingham, AL circa 1994. Second half was the entire Dark Side of the Moon album. Encores were Wish You Were Here, Run Like Hell and Comfortably Numb

Missed - Pretty much if you name them I've seen them but I regret never getting to see Alice In Chains with Layne Staley. Seen them twice with William Duval and they are amazing but I sure wanted to see them with Layne.

Was your show in Tampa? I went the night before in West Palm. I really enjoyed the show. Your thoughts and descriptions are the same as mine.

At the very end of the show a bad looking storm front blew in and they made them stop the show, right as they were about to do their first encore. Dan Reynolds came out and said they had to stop the show because of the storm and then did Believer acapella. Pretty cool ending to the show.

Grace Vanderwaal - had never heard of her, watching her thinking she was a little waif of a woman, very petite. Asked my son to google her and find out her story; he comes back and tells me she's 14.

First Concert: 1979 - Molly Hatchet - Homecoming II tour at the Jax Coliseum.

Favorite shows were a couple of shows at Chastain Park in Atlanta. And while the groups were great the venue was the was the big attraction; so fan friendly. Room to set up tables and bring coolers, and let me tell you those folks went to great lengths to have really fun setups.

The one I've missed so far is Foo Fighters. If I could have seen them play at Fenway I would die a happy man.

Saturday 21 Pilots:

This was the second concert this year of the our bands are dying off, so needs to see newer music live (Imagine Dragons being the first).

Missed the opening act watching the 3rd/4th quarter of the Gator game at the bar. My wife didn't have a problem waiting her two friends did, but I was driving so the complaints fell on deaf ears.

I got to my seats as the second act AWOLNATION came on, they played 8 songs I knew 2 of them. The songs I knew sounded like I expected, and the rest wasn't as bad as I expected. The lead singer was dressed like a cross between the lead singer of Nickelback (Ox's favorite band) and Don Johnson during Miami Vice an odd combination.

21 Pilots: I'm not a big 21 Pilots fan, I might know 8 songs of the 24 song (not including the covers goo goo dolls Iris and Hey Jude). The energy of the show was great and they sounded (on the songs I knew) like the radio. Their show was kind of like a watered down cross between Motely Crue and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. It felt like I had seen it before, but other people did it better. We were the only ones in our age group in our section that didn't bring their kids. Lot of young people. It is by far the whitest concert I've been to. As the lead singer "rapped" the wife said "is this what young white people think rap is now?" It was a good show after watching a schitty game, but I don't know if I would see them again (if I wasn't taking my daughter). Nothing about the show was special.

First Concert: 1979 - Molly Hatchet - Homecoming II tour at the Jax Coliseum.

Danny Joe Brown and I were friends from junior high school on and worked together a couple of summers. Danny used to sing at work all the time claiming he was gon be a star one day. I remember sitting in Mel Powell's garage listening to Danny Joe and Wayne Wilson (drummer) play. They were terrible. Mel played keyboards. Mel later played with another band with Danny Joe called Rum Creek. Danny Joe left Rum Creek to front for Molly Hatchett the year I was married. Bobby Ingram was Rum Creek's guitar player, he later left to join Brown with Hatchet. Since then all of the original members have passed away and Ingram is the sole remaining tenured member. The last time I saw Danny Joe was at the Fox in Atlanta maybe in 92 or 93 where he left me a backstage pass.

Interesting. I heard they crushed it. They always end their concerts with Trees. Look familiar:

Though this one is better:

This one is more like our view, we were on the side. It wasn't a bad show, just seems like it was a watered down version of something we had seen before. The kids around us loved it. It might be more do to the fact the wife and I try to hit a lot of concerts, and so our tastes are getting more refined at concerts
