Per Mullinz, fighting for the 3rd tackle spot (the other "starter" anticipating injury) is Forsythe, DeLance and Gouraige (in the order he said them).

Fighting for the next G/C is Heggie, McCoy and Bleich.

Said McCoy has dropped to third string and Heggie hasnt practiced.

Whichever 5 O-Linemen are on the field at any one time, the quality of play will have to drastically improve from the previous 3 years for this team to have a chance to be reasonably competitive. with that said, how is it that Fred Johnson can still be a starter? Forget it I know the answer. it was a facetious question!

How in the heck does Johnson stay a starter. They don't want to try Forsythe or one of those new tackles at guard for this year? I don't see how they couldn't beat him out with some practice time there.

You'll learn Mullen will almost let his upperclassmen start no matter how well the freshman play unless he has no choice because of depth

Yes. Actually the understatement of the week.

Man McCoy sure took a depth chart dive didn't he?

Wasn’t McCoy recovering from surgery and missed Spring ball? If so, maybe he’s still recovering and getting up to speed? He was always a little undersized as well, so maybe the new staff likes the heavier Buchanan more?

I bet it is not set, unless we don't have any options. And I always wonder why on the oline you would have any rotation, they have to work as a unit, same five unless injury happens.

Clearly this is not true. This team can win 10 games with a terrible OL as we have seen 2 of the last 3 years. What is true is that for this team to have a good offense, for Mullen to have done his job and improved the offense, for this team to be competitive for a championship rather than just competitive to win 10 games, the OL group must play much better.

Once Heggie is healthy he's back in the rotation.

Buchanan has to be the surprise of this OL. Good for him. Hard work pays off.

Im concerned he might be one of those gamers though who plays better on Saturday than in practice. Nevertheless, I absolutely trust Mullins and Hevesy on this. They will have us much better than last year, even if that still makes us low or below average.

Keep people fresh, and allow guys with nagging injuries to sit some. Often times guys playing with a slight injuries tend to get themselves hurt even more.

The article indicated more will be known after the scrimmage on Monday. Let’s see what this group does when they’re popped in the mouth a few times. Still a ways to go before game week

He might eventually be back but he doesn't know this system and these plays. He may take months to be mentally ready regardless of when he is physically ready.

McCoy is definitely undersized, legacy or not. Will see if Nick has improved with added muscle.

Jordan was more impressive as a happy recruit than guard.
Heggie is injured.
Fred is huge but too slow afoot.
Ivey is in a contract year so we’re going to get his best, whatever that is.
Then we have Taylor...a guy I’d love to see at center if we had any quality depth at all.

We’ve see this goat rodeo before. All the coaching & scheming can only go so far.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all to have three new starters by game three.
