Seriously, has anyone seen this guy? I was pretty excited about his upside when he got to campus. Now not one damn peep about him from what I've seen anywhere.

Saw him play a little last year. He hit the ground with authority.

Absolutely nothing from him in anything from camp. I thought he could be coached up to be a hell of a OLB in this system...but nada. I know when he was in last year he seemed to be running himself out of plays.

I am in no way defending Moon regarding his play, as anyone who has seen him play knows he stinks out loud. But in fairness, could you not have asked that about the entire returning LB corp? This is the worst position group of players that I have seen play returning the following year. Perhaps they have made incredible improvement? Perhaps the guys who have not played will surprise everyone to the up side? But based on the history of these guys, unless the D Line plays lights out can't be moved an inch, it could be a long year on that side of the ball.

For me, every player gets a pass after MacNuss. Every freshman certainly gets a pass when Shannon is calling plays. My word, he'd make an LB trio of HOFers look like dog crap.

As far as not hearing anything? So what! How many times have we heard praises during spring and fall only for those players to suck during the season. I'll wait until actual games to say whether a guy sucks or not. New staff. New chances to prove oneself.

Well in all honestly would you want to be involved in a major CFB play at the LB position when you were all of a buck ninety five?.....

That's fair, but there's been nothing about him. Vanished. All of them played with pretty terrible technique, which is why I assumed the one that seemed to be the most physically gifted of the lot would get much better once a coaching staff with a pulse got here. I just read over the practice notes from Inside the Gators and his name doesn't show up anywhere even in a virtually play by play recap.

Oh great. We get Franks again, fsu's MVP in the debacle he created by handing them 28 of 38 points scored (even Tom Brady has a bad day). If we get the same old Franks and the same old O-line (newsflash: our O-line still sucks) we are horsefked before we even begin. Until proven otherwise Franks cannot think fast enough for SEC football. Has this worm suddenly hatched into a butterfly? Possible.... like the earth getting demolished by an asteroid is possible. PLEASE Dan get us out of this nightmare.

I have no idea why Moon was ever on the field.

LBs were not worse as a group than O-line. Reese played really well at times. There's some potentially good players in this group. Reese, Joseph, K. Johnson, Jackson, Moon, Houston, Miller, Brunson and maybe Burney and other Reese. These guys will be better because they have been through a real strength training program. Plus Grantham's system makes LBs look good. If they focus on better tackling this year I bet this group makes a ton of good plays. The D line is good enough to set these guys up to make huge plays.

Right. But they'll be in the position to make the plays or NOT make the plays. More than last year at least.

We stole one right out of Nick Saban's backyard. Has Bama recovered yet?
:lol2:….sometimes I do wonder if Saban clowns us then sits back and laughs his ass off.

In all seriousness though playing LB in our conference is pretty challenging on both a mental and physical level especially when you come on campus at a little over 200#. If he has put in the time in the weightroom and chow hall he could be a pretty decent player for us. We won't know that for a few more weeks though.
