The facts are it was spelling, they idiotically believed that it was some sort of slur on a black QB.
And yes when an attempt was made to explain, the ban went from some days to forever, arrogant fools that they are. So they lost some clicks, probably quite a few.
Ask any poster if Vulcan is always serious. You just apparently support those idiots over there that think they are welcoming to Gators, when in fact they are just homers who don't want to hear anything other than their own ideas. The fact that a mass of you came here should tell you that.

Wasn't a matter of "dumped"--everyone chose to leave as a group because of the hypocrisy of that board. Libs were allowed to insult at levels which was extreme. Some of them received slaps on the wrists from time to time, but the overwhelming trend was to allow the left to get away with virtual murder, while conservatives were not allowed to respond in kind. Virtually any retort in similar fashion was met with bans, post deletions, permanent vacations, etc---and the difference between how the two were treated was glaring. We all were just sick of it--especially those of us who had been there for years and years.
Unless you were there--you really can't grasp how blatantly biased they became as compared to how it used to be. In the past, it as much more objective and fair to both sides. This site is the way it used to be there---about 10-15 years ago. Slowly kept getting worse, and the proverbial straw that broke that camel's back was the appointment of THE most arrogant, condescending, smug, A-hole of a prick liberal on the entire board as a mod several months ago--around the first of the year as I recall. The ultimate slap in the face & insult to the entire board when that dickhead was made mod. That single act turned the tide for many---and started the clock ticking that lead to the exodus. They could have appointed almost ANY other person as a mod, and that would have been received at least better....but they chose to make Jackass Extraordinaire a mod and that did it. Game over. The best mod over there who was generally objective and fair---is tilly, who visits in here. Overall he's a good guy and I've never had any issues with him.
They didn't run anyone off--their actions made the place intolerable. I, as well as most of us refugees---have no reason to even think of returning to that place....ever. While there were some good people there--on both sides--we all have found a much better place here by far. There were some liberals there I truly respected and enjoyed discussions with---but the ones who took over threads and lashed out with repeated insults knowing they were going to skate regardless what they said and knowing we would get deleted or banned...in other words, the big mouth POS lib leaders who arrogantly ran the threads---they can all kiss our collective arses.

No....not anywhere close to the same. Moderation is the difference. And it is drastic difference in that regard. Whether it is con or lib majority is not the issue. The moderation hypocrisy is THE key difference. No one wants or benefits from an echo chamber, and this is not. There is debate in here without the control, regardless who has the majority of posters--lib or con.
Simply put....there is discussion in here from what I've seen. It's basically free market in here. Over at the other site, it is about "control" on the part of the left. Which is true and typical of the lib mindset elsewhere I suppose--control defines them. Very reason premise of why the left has gone whacko across the US.....they lost control when Trump won, lost congress, etc....and it has driven them bonkers. Same thing drives them back at the other site--the know they have control with the mods, and do whatever they damn well please, and maintaining that control is what defines them. Not how well the site is run, or what gets accomplished--but completely revolves around "control" of that forum and nothing more.

The PF here is a glorified MAGA rally 24/7 with a tiny handful of dissenting opinions. Liberals are the only ones who are told to “take it to the PF” or “take it to the political box” while Red Hatters spew MAGA garbage unchecked. Stay awhile until the new car smell wears off and then open your eyes. But once again, your safe space is found, so I’m happy for you.

You just made my point about the difference between the two places....it was not a handful of dissenting opinions....it may have been slightly more libs than cons, but the right was not merely "a tiny handful" by any stretch of the imagination. The numbers of each were not the problem at all.
I wish some of the libs would show up here to debate on even ground---a few have come and I would imagine do so daily, either lurking as a visitor or in the case of one--creating an entirely different screen ID as he's too chicken chit to be open about himself. That is typical of the libs over there--cowardly hiding behind their keyboards and knowing their sorry asses were covered by the mods. They don't have the balls to come over here and register.

I'll admit I'm fairly new to this board, but from what I've seen so far....and it is quite obvious.....there is still a huge difference. No mod that I can tell is deleting their posts---banning them for several days, a week, or permaban. They may think they can't speak but I see some libs definitely making remarks. And rightly so--they SHOULD be able to post without knowing their posts will be gone in a few minutes. It sure appears they can post knowing a mod isn't waiting while licking his chops to delete it. It is NOT that way over "there".
