Kentucky beat us at home and lost in OT to A&M on the road...and they are behind us. A lot depends on where you were in the rankings, who you played and when, etc etc. Mullen has done well. He has exceeded expectations. While it's really too early for me(I know), he has crushed it so far. Go Dan!

I'd prefer we lay in the weeds a while longer, but honest to God, the LSU ranking does rankle me a bit. A&M deserves to be higher, too.

It would be orgasmic for LSU to beat UGA this Saturday then us beat them in the WLOCP, meaning they would be out of it before the end of October.

We just opened as 10 pt. favorites at Vandy. That is insane.

Agreed. Insanely low. We’re gonna whup ‘em by fitty....

No way. I knew we would probably be favored but by 10? My line of thinking was somewhere between 5 and 7 points. Three extra points on the road is a big deal.

The AP has always been a joke, but this week's poll takes the cake. Lets looks at 7 of the 1 loss teams in the poll this week.

You can break those 7 into 2 groups. 3 of those teams (Florida, LSU and Kentucky) have played half their games against teams ranked in the top 25 this week. All three have gone 2-1 in those games. All three have also easily won the 3 games they've played against non-ranked teams.

4 of those teams (Washington, Penn State, Oklahoma and Michigan) have played 1 game against a team ranked in the top 25 this week, and all 4 lost that game. In addition, all 4 have struggled mightily against at least one of the unranked teams they played with one needing overtime to beat Army.

So how does the AP view these teams? All of the 4 teams with no wins against ranked teams are ranked ahead of the three teams with 2 wins against ranked teams. In addition, when you look at those three, Kentucky beat Florida and Florida beat LSU. So how does the AP view them? LSU ahead of Florida who is ahead of Kentucky.

Its a total sham, but it still pisses me off. Bottom line is we should be ranked higher based on our body of work this season. None of this really matters. I just love that I have a reason to defend my team in the national spotlight for the first time in years.

Its so great to matter again!

Don't lose to ****ing Kentucky and LSU wouldn't be 1 ahead of us, in fact, we'd likely be top 10 right now.
two things:
1) LSU probably beats us in their house
2) I think we needed that KY loss to get our heads right

Overtime game was Penn State v. Ap State, my bad. The Sooners managed a thrilling 7 point regulation win against Army.

Even Mac beat LSU in their house. Don't sell us short. We win that game anywhere!

Man who cares. Mid-season polls are about as useful as taste buds in your ass hole.
