Got goosebumps watching that. Nice speech by Mullen. As goofy as he seems, he is one intense guy.

Three things:

1. The look of pure joy on Mullen’s face when Timmy is giving his post-game speech...awesome
2. I had binoculars and was watching our sideline, and the guy having the best time was Louis Murphy. He had a water bottle and as guys were coming off the field he was spraying water in their mouth, coaching them up...it was fantastic. THAT is a guy relevant to kids at this level today.
3. I’ve never seen a coach do what Mullen did after the go-ahead TD. The crowd was loud all game, but when he went crazy rallying the crowd...CHALLENGING the crowd...it went to a whole new level the rest of the game, and as Sas said in his cogitations, the pick 6 was the loudest I’ve ever heard. Louder than the heave to Cleve.

This game was way more than just a big win against a 5th ranked opponent. Something very different...very big...happened. What Mullen did on the field, what he did with the ‘08s, and what he said at the postgame presser (calling out all the things we can do better, instead of “golly gee ain’t it cool” schtick)...he won me over. I’m on the Mullen train, which I said I wouldn’t do until I saw a full year and saw continuous progress. I’ve seen enough :D

MacInsane would never have let the 08s into the locker room. Not even Tebow. Fool.

Dan knows exactly what he's doing. Nice move getting pre and post game speeches from 08s. If that doesn't get a Gator team fired up, nothing will.

It's a good all round feel... the championship past melding with the coaching staff teaching for the benefit of a TEAM hungry for success. Go Gators!

I can see why the team is playing the way they are. Mullen gets you fired up. And not in a "I'll run through a brick wall" kinda way, but rather a "I believe I will do it" type of motivation. Really, that's the toughest aspect of coaching. It's extremely difficult to teach new habits to a bunch of kids in such a short amount of time. I'm really impressed by what is taking place. We're really close to being a force again. Maybe even closer than most of us are willing to publicly admit.

That moment along the sidelines is what I’ve been trying to find. It was intense for sure, and it really cements the type of coach we have.

And I’d agree on the pick-6 noise level. I was telling someone earlier that what sets it apart from last year’s ut game, or even the TD to Callaway in ‘15, is that the Swamp was still packed because we’ve been developing momentum and people actually wanted to be there...it was in the final 2 minutes of a 1 point game, so the play effectively sealed it...and we were on defense, so it was already loud from before the snap. The pick just took it up a final deafening notch. Much closer to the Moss block or the Thomas pick in ‘97.

I haven't been to a game since 2012. For the first time since then I feel like I'm missing out. :scratchchin:

Heave to Cleve, Cock Block, and Johnson to Quezzie. We're there for all three. The Pick Six had to be as loud as those, no doubt and probably the loudest. Painfully exciting.

I just head-butted my wife!
Is that like code for head to butt. They used to discuss that often in the midday perv segment with Dubs and company.
Seriously, i laughed at your comment. Good one.

CHILLS.

Make Tebow a permanent position as a Gator ambassador. Pay him what he wants. Give him an office. He belongs in that lockerroom.

Make it happen.
