It will be such a failed experiment.

They will have to over come the salary cap issue, because of 1) cost of living and 2) likely income taxes. I believe you still report foreign income on US taxes. Not sure of the particulars, but my best guess would be they would have an increased tax liability. Also, would visiting teams be subject to English tax burdens? Remember how Orlando tried to lure free agents because of no State income tax.

There would be 9 teams affected by travel. The Jags and their 8 visiting opponents. This would create not only travel discrepancies within the League, but also time differentials.

Who is going to want to play for them? What big name player is going to want to live there? Would any conservative players want to live there? Why would anyone want to go from being a star in the US to an afterthought in England?

It’s no worse than playing in California.

Nobody would care about them there, just like nobody cares about them here. What would their mascot be? The London Gentlemen?

They could fly east for a game on the West Coast.

Of course it will fail. But the NFL is just stupid enough to try it.

Who knows, Khan may want Wembley to prevent the Glazers, who already own ManU, from getting it first.

Jacksonville draws well, spends, competes. It's on an up trajectory. Tampa Bay, it just ... exists. The Bucs could move to Liverpool tomorrow morning and no one would notice.

What’s wrong with keeping the NFL the way it is? I get tweaking things here or there but bigger isn’t always better; unless your’re talking about women!

I thought the talk was having 4 games here and 4 over there? No?

The Chargers will be London's team. They have no fans in LA. Zero. They screwed San Diego, and will likely fail in LA.

This may be UnAmerican, but I think sports owners should face different rules. That team belongs to Jacksonville. The city worked for decades to get a team. Thousands of people invested time and effort. Taxpayers and tens of thousands of fans have invested a generation into them. One selfish dude should not be allowed to ruin it.

Not unless Khan is buying the Chargers.

Nothing keeping him from renting Wembley to the Chargers.
It's actually a good business move. He collects the benefits of an NFL team in his building, while still owning one on US soil.
