C130 born to hurricane hunt. Did a couple CAT2 typhoon hunting sorties in WESTPAC. It is surreal penetrating the eye wall after Mr Toad's Wild Ride to get to it.

The color doppler radar in the dashboard is pretty sweet. Much mo' bettah avionics than we had. Foruckin' Air Farce...

I-10 closed both directions between Tallahassee and Defuniak Springs this morning due to debris. That stretch has loads of thick forest close to the road. Could be a while to cut through it.

Until this morning I had no idea there were places along the coast that weren't to "Andrew code". In a million years, I didn't think we'd see something this bad in Florida. Hope everyone here and their families are ok. Really tough to watch some of these videos.

Was on the interstate this AM(well east of Tallahassee), the amount of power crews, LEO, fire rescue, national guard rolling west is amazing. Say what you will about Scott as a governor but one thing he has perfected is storm response and preparedness.

How far east of Tally were you? Did you notice if power was up for gas stations? I need to cut across that stretch this afternoon from Pensacola headed to 75 and I'm trying to judge fuel consumption vs gas access.
