Dameon Pierce, the player I'd most like to see IF we get a nice lead on the Doremats. You?

I know, I know. Never take anything for granted. But I think these Gators are very anxious to show everyone that their big leap in the rankings was well-deserved. They have not experienced enough success yet to get cocky and complacent, and I don't believe they will be that way on Saturday.

So I foresee the Gators coming out very strong and stomping hard on the Commodoremats. If we're blessed for that to happen, hopefully it will give Mullen and Grantham the opportunity late in the game to rotate in some players who aren't typically featured.

I don't think Franks should come out of the game at all, unless the score is lopsided to the point of being ridiculous. He needs all the game reps he can get.

The player I'd most like to see get extended minutes, and given an opportunity to show what he can do if he gets into a nice rhythm, is freshman RB Dameon Pierce. This cat has looked electric and made the most out of the limited opportunities he's received. I'm very intrigued to see what a long, sustained dose of him would look like.

TE Lucas Krull, the former baseball player who was cold as ice delivering that throwback pass to Franks last week, seems like he might be a baller who deserves some more PT.

On defense, I'm hoping Dre Massey might get to play his first reps at CB. The two guys ahead of him on the depth chart, McWilliams and Dean, have both shown that they're pretty capable, so I think we can afford to give then a breather while Massey gets a look. And at safety I want to see more of my boy Shawn Davis from Miami Southridge.

Who are you interested to see coming off the bench if - IF! - God willing we're lucky enough to take a big second half lead at Vandy?

Agree on Franks but we both know that won't happen. It'll be Trask Time once we're up by 2 possessions.

Everyone and their mother wants to see more Pierce. Agree there too.

Besides Krull on offense, I wouldn't mind seeing some Pitts and a catch or five from Copeland who is supposedly healthy now(?)

On defense I agree on Davis. I'd like to see some Amari Burney too.

Cheers to the future!

Dameon Pierce, makes little sense to devalue his blocking because what really counts is that he's carrying the ball.
IMO UF is under-using Pierce and it isn't wise. It seems like we've got Nick Chubb confined to the bench. Let him really shake loose our running attack.

Its interesting when almost always it is the 2nd string QB that ends up being the most popular player, Ours, instead, is the 3rd string RB. I take it as a positive. I remember begging for Mike Gillislee (but then we were begging for all kinds of things).

I'd like to see wide receiver Copeland. See how he blocks on runs, what sort of separation he achieves, does he have soft hands or stone fingers.

Bringing the talented young RB in late gets him reps and his fresh legs move the chains (and score long TDs).

He only got 4 runs and one reception vs. Miss. St. and no touches vs. LSU. None. That could be situational demands, which means they needed responsibilities he’s not quite able to deliver yet, or there’s something behind the scenes (minor injury, minor disciplinary issue). In any case, I missed him!

I’d like to see Toney more.

My one worry with Vandy is the OL. Vandy will be aggressive with mixing up pressures & blitzes.

Like to see how Emory Jones is coming along, we can play him in 4 games this year. Can’t think of any other game except Idaho that we could be comfortably ahead to put him in. I guess we could let him see some time in the bowl game as well. That would be the 4th game I’m thinking.

This is a game where Butters would have us in a nail biter to the very end and none of the younger/backups would play. Let's just hope we can get into a situation where we get a big enough lead that we can empty the bench. Even in the Tenn game a lot of the starters were in late into the 4th quarter.

I'd love to see what Pierce looks like running with the first team. I also want to see what Krull looks like in extended play.
But the player I'd most like to see is Jacob Copeland. I think the kid has immense potential and I wanna see what he can do.

I'd like more Pierce and Toney.

I really want to see a good clean offensive game with few mental mistakes. THAT MEANS YOU IVY!!!

Massey was moved to CB? I was unaware. Makes sense, but news to me.

I want Trask to get as much playing time as possible. While I understand Franks needing reps, I don't want to risk him getting hurt (like Tebow in 2009) in a game that is no longer in question.

Plus.. if an injury does happen, Trask needs the reps more than Franks to be able to be capable of moving the team forward.

So if Dre is "very good with the ball in the air," I want to see him play with the ball in the air. We'll need a big enough lead to justify playing him, but if we're up 3 TDs in this one, he should play. And if we're up by that much, Pierce will probably play, getting a long run against a tired D.
