Vosean got ejected for 2 personal fouls, where the second foul was a TEAM personal foul, caused by Derek Mason’s Napoleon complex requiring him to talk trash to our coaches and bench.

I haven’t reviewed it, but I’m guessing Vosean didn’t do anything individually warranting ejection during the skirmish.

1) it’s garbage to get ejected for a team unsportsmanlike penalty, because you have a previous and unrelated (but awesome) penalty.

2)if it does count towards ejection, then if a team picks up 2 team penalties, do they forfeit the game, because everyone is ejected.

The refs sucked this game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Vosean’s ejection was improper.

This is what I wondered. It makes no sense that they can penalize an entire team.

Thanks. I was curious on this as well. So a team PF can get a player ejected, but isn’t 15 yards?

I ask because I didn’t see any yardage assessed beyond the BitB and Targeting.

The ejections have gotten way out of hand. A player should only be ejected if he does something absolutely flagrant.

I thought that one offset b/c Vandy had a team penalty called as well

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks.

Guess it still counts toward a total in that case. Not cool though that a player can be bounced if their team is upset. Oh well.

I'm wondering if this dumb assed rule about team personal fouls only affects those with individual PF's if the team gets penalized with multiple team PF's? Otherwise there sure would be a lot of advertiser money lost on games that ended in forfeit because of multiple team PF's.

I'm so tired of seeing Granthem run his mouth every week. I love how our kids are doing in his scheme but worry that he's a bad example of a person for them to see.

I get what your saying but these guys are playing with a nasty streak that hasn't been there in years and the same chip he has on his shoulder. They need that until the talent catches up.

There was serious home cooking going on with those refs.

Grantham is like an older, heftier version of muschamp. Good assistant but good lord don’t ever let him run the show.

It's absurd. You could have a guy sitting on the bench doing nothing getting ejected. Ridiculous.

I agree it’s absurd - I even thought it was a mistake (among many by that awful crew.) Turns our it happened in the Ut-KY game last year. Offsetting team personal fouls against both were called on the opening kickoff, then later players from both teams got the boot after another.

To me its totally different if there has already been a team unsportsmanlike penalty, and then you get an individual penalty. Its quite another when you get the individual penalty and then later there is a team penalty. Offsetting team penalty no less.

I actually like the team penalty when things start to get out of hand because it tells players that if they get out of line just once they are now gonna get tossed. But what happened today was bogus.

It seems like every single game has a bull**** ejection this season. Did anyone see the linebacker get ejected for tackling the bama running back? I almost threw my beer through my t.v., they desperately need to redo that rule.

Let me first say that was some of the most inept officiating I have ever seen. And being a former Ref, those guys should grade out and the SEC will continue doing what they do with them.......the less than marque matchups. That Crew will never see and SECCG, IMO. Several things come to mind.

1. They almost and I mean on the verge of letting that game get out of control.
2. I have no problem with a coach checking on his player if he is hurt. And I don't care who said what to who first. Mason was TOTALLY WRONG on that behavior. Period. That caused his team to vacate the bench first. That should have been a one side USLC penalty.
3. The Rule. Biggest and Dumbest rule ever. I guess we forfeit in the future if there are 2 USLC penalties. Way to go. No reason a player sitting on the bench doing nothing should get tossed. With that rule whatever control you were looking to gain was lost.
4. As always with the SEC officiating to a degree = S-crewed E-very C-all.

Sankey needs to fix this soon. Probably nothing gets done until Saban gets some tossed. Then it'll get corrected.
