The last time the cocktail party was held in Ga didn't turn out too well for them

The pool? How about the whole stadium? I'd think the cost of maintaining it would be prohibitively expensive if it's only used for the Cocktail Party and the occasional tractor pull. The Leg-humpers might end up getting their wish to make the series home-and-home.

And yes, I know the stadium existed before the Jaguars came, but back then it was just a big hunk of concrete. Now that they've renovated and high-teched it up, I'm sure the upkeep costs are considerably more.
You should get over to Jville more often.
Just went to a big concert in the stadium back on Labor Day weekend.

They hold numerous events at the stadium year round.

If the Nfl ever leaves, they will have more college games and more events to fill that hole.
Well, not completely fill, Im under no illusion that the nfl doesn't pay the bills and fill the city fun ticket coffers.

But, The stadium was used before and would be again.

Of course it will fail. But the NFL is just stupid enough to try it.
It has Rodger Goodell written all over it.

maybe con can hire Tebow when the team gets to London.

I guess we have Wayne Weaver to thank or blame for this.

NFLPA would never agree to a team in London. Jet-lag, time away from home (unless all players and coaches of the team move their families there), strange scheduling. It will never work.

I can see him buying the stadium so he gets all the proceeds from his one Jags game a year there, plus the one other game a year there. I don't know if the players and the coaches would have any say in this, but this isn't some move of a team from Oakland to Vegas. That's in the same timezone, in the US. This would be a significant change, and if the players / coaches have any say in this whatsoever, it'll never pass.

And another entity that has a say in this - the TV networks. Currently they show the game that's there at about 9 am ET. What kind of ratings do they get for that time slot on a Sunday morning? I bet it's not the equivalent of a Sunday afternoon or night game. One or two games a year, they currently live with that. An entire home season of 8 home games? I just don't see it.

This may be UnAmerican, but I think sports owners should face different rules. That team belongs to Jacksonville. The city worked for decades to get a team. Thousands of people invested time and effort. Taxpayers and tens of thousands of fans have invested a generation into them. One selfish dude should not be allowed to ruin it.
That aint the way it works, unAmerican or not ruefully. Greenbay is the only example of establishing a city own team. Pretty cool actually. The town is a lot smaller than Jax also.

What’s wrong with keeping the NFL the way it is? I get tweaking things here or there but bigger isn’t always better; unless your’re talking about women!

My younger son said about Bortles after another stupid play, He just went full-Franks.

Blake needs superlative players around him to make him look good. He's not the guy who can carry a team from the QB position like other guys in the league can. With "Mr. Glass" Fournette and several of our best offensive linemen down along with a lack of threat at WR and TE, he doesn't stand a chance and neither does the rest of the team if the offense keeps tanking.

You want to know what team will be moving soon? The chargers. They are at home to a sellout crowd of 25k. 80-90% of the fans there are for the chiefs, not the chargers. They are a huge embarrassment. If any team is moving to London, it'd be this one.

The NFL not being in San Diego is a travesty. Amazing city. Great fans. Greed. Greed. Greed.

Only in Roger Goodell's NFL can this even be discussed. The Jaguars and any team that plays them over there will have a significant disadvantage the next weekend when they play stateside. I can tell you from experience that a 2-3 day trip to London is absolutely brutal on your body. I don't think that any potential revenue increase would offset the competitive disadvantage of adding that kind of travel to your team for 10 trips each season.

As I said, he didn’t have the votes. Although, the papers over there make it seem like he wasn’t close. I thought he’d lose my a slim margin.
