You had better hope so, for your sake.

I'm glad the other players aren't worshiping at the altar of 515151.

I give credit where it’s due, the guy is a picking machine. Hasn’t even had one losing week yet the whole season. Maybe he’s Phil Steele.

Exactly, that's why he's due to go down the tubes. He isn't a savant, he probably doesn't even watch college football. When picking ATS, knowledge on the teams matters about 10%, the other 90% is luck.

I've changed my strategy...I am now using a random number generator. I figure if the spreads are right and not being oxed around, I should improve to about 50%.

After 1 more week I looked to figure out how many of us would actually be winning money if gambling (if we bet the same amount on each game). You’d need 115 wins out of those 220 to break even. You’re not winning anything until at least 116.

Only 24 people have 116. 15 would be betting with some house money at 119 wins or more. For comparison, national reporters Stewart Mandel and Bruce Feldman have woefully losing records this year versus the spread. Both are 10 games under .500 with far less than 220 picks.

@Gator515151 would clearly be rich.

Rich like Richie Rich or Oxbux-rich?

Cause if the former then why do you need another TV? The outdoor one on the Stagecoach go out on you or something?

If the latter then I can understand why you put so much effort and determination into this event.

To be fair, we would only bet real money on games we were confident in covering the spread on, and put more money on games you were more confident in. Not 20 games picked by sir Ox and evenly weighted, especially this week being even more difficult with all the giant spreads.

Absolutely true, but it's still interesting how poorly we are collectively doing on these 20 random games, some with odds set only by the giant bovine.
