You're missing the point.....if he didn't quit when he did, his college career would be OVER....done, no years of eligibility left, adios amigos. Him quitting was the only way for him to get a realistic shot starting elsewhere for his last year

I get the point. But I’m saying if he stays he’s one snap away from leading his team to championship games. His career is not necessarily done if he stays. But the bigger point is what guarantee will he be asking for? Simply the same opportunity that Clemson gave him? Earn it? What if EJ or Jalen are ready to go next year? Will this kid quit if they ball out? Will he smile on the sideline if he gets pulled?

I understand the new dynamic with free agency but I can’t believe these aren’t considered legitimate questions. If DM vets this kid and is convinced he is a team-first guy then he has to give him a shot. But I would damn sure be asking him the hard questions.

I don't know about you but I look at his completion rate of about 66% for 2800 yards and I salivate. Then I look at his 665 yds rushing and I get a stiffie.

The good news is he has only one more year. That should allow EJ and JJ to stick around and not be scared away knowing that he won't be here anymore after 2019 season.

I'd give him the guarantee that he is asking for. I would guarantee that he starts the first 6 games and then from there on, it will depend on his play.

You obviously don't take Bryant if you feel like one of the joneses will be ready. So you can take that dynamic out of the equation.

Are there any DTs or fullsize DEs available? ILBs? SAFETIES?

Id much rather talk about those guys.

Call me crazy, but I don't want Bryant. If he had a couple years then sure. But he doesn't. I don't think we have all the holes filled next year anyways so I think I would rather have younger guys getting the snaps in practice instead of having to revamp the offense to accommodate a guy who just got on campus.

Why the hell would Miss State want him? They have Keytaon Thompson in the wings. If Kelly Bryant goes there, Thompson leaves.
I'd take Thompson too

He played pretty good when Fitz was hurt last year. Correction, his completion percentage was 48.5 percent. Yeah they probably need him just as much.

By the looks of things, we’d be better off with Bryant or even his sister.

You can talk about those guys in the main recruiting thread. OR, you could *gasp* start your own thread!

This is a thread specifically discussing a QB. It says so in the title. No one is demanding you visit here, doofus.
