Well, I guess that simplifies things.

Sucks for Trask. He seems like a guy who tries his best and is willing to help. Hopefully he's back soon either way.

You effing kidding me? The kid finally gets the chance of a lifetime and hurts himself in practice?

Franks does have a thing for blondes...just saying. Maybe a little...convenient.

The odds on EJ being at UF in 5 years are almost zero.

Same odds for Mullinz.

Agree. Redshirting a skill position player is sooo 20 years ago.

The only reason I could see for not playing EJ is if he's truly just light years away from being ready...or there's concern that he could play well enough to possibly disrupt the recruitment of incoming Jones. The season's not over, but we're also not playing for any titles. So rolling him out and getting a few games from him that could mess things up going forward wouldn't make sense. But that was when we at least had 2 other options at QB--fit or not. Not sure we have any options if Trask is hurt.

Non-contact injury to the lower leg per the Orlando Sentinel.

Creates an intriguing set of circumstances.

In a nod to us older guys, I say we go old school single wing offense, where there was not a position of QB, but that position was known as a blocking back. Direct snap to RB and the play goes from there. We don;t need a QB as we all saw what a terrific "thrower" Franks is the past 2 weeks. No offense, Joe Lee Dunn Jr. as a horrible DC. I was so hoping my view would change of Cousin Eddie and the gang but mean reversion has taken hold of the offense, the defense and oh, the O-line.

Freaking A man, we can't have anything go our way in the QB spot....so depressing.

That’s closer to the truth. CDM doesn’t get paid 6mil for nothing. There’s some deeper level mind games going on. CDM wants to win badly. He needs a stable of horses and needs to keep them all happy. Can’t anoint EJ without complicating his recruiting situation with JJ. Plus other reasons mentioned previously. It’s not really about the Redshirt IMO.
