Word going around that Fred Johnson will be benched in favor of JUCO transfer OL Noah Banks.

Heggie may be out as well (he was injured in the first half of the Missouri game).

This has to be considered good news anyway you look at it (not the Heggie news, but the Fred news).

Geez:

I hope Mullen can upgrade our OL and fast.

QB, DB, OL.

Do we have many RS OL that could help next year.

Fred seems to be a nice kid.

He also is a Sunbelt level talent. One of so.many of those Sunbelt players Bitters brought us.

Any possibly beneficial change is worth trying at this point. We labor under a mountain of bad juju and any step in the right direction is greatly appreciated.

QB, DB, OL.

Do we have many RS OL that could help next year.

I've seen tweets about TJ Moore, Gouraige, and Delance; saying something like "biding their time, next year is THEIR year" (basically saying they'll be "the man" next season).

I like Griffin McDowell too, seems like a solid OG candidate. I wouldn't be surprised if Bleich was a starter next year also.

Really disappointed in Heggie getting injured all the time. He's the best OL on the team, imo. Hopefully he gets healthy this off-season.

We could see: Gouraige, Bleich, Buchanan, Heggie/Banks, TJ Moore/Delance. Also, TJ Moore will return as a back-up Center and Banks can play OT.

That's pretty much it though for the OL's on the current roster. We could land the grad-transfer from Miss State (or somewhere else). I doubt any JUCO we'd possibly sign would play much and the incoming freshman are probably all redshirt candidates (or the 4-game rule type).

With the lack of blowout this year we haven't seen many of the back ups. Hopefully we see more of those next year.

I believe that is 100% accurate Law, as memory tells me that Fred was headed to FIU before a last second offer from Butters. along with guys like Richard Desir Jones, Butters had schollies lying around and doled them out to the biggest bodies he could find, regardless of talent level.

Mullen talked about Gouraige by name last week, I figured he'd be the one going but oh well. Any upgrade we can make, lets make it.

Man you really have your ear to the ground with regards to the program.

I hope you're right. He can't be much worse than Fred.

I try not to knock Gator athletes. It really isn't Fred's fault. I blame butters and his innovative strength training techniques.

Great news!
That should give Franks to think about the wrong place to throw a pass.
