Texas might get his stable mate Noah Cain. LSU was also heavily recruiting Cain but since they got Emery they backed off.Texas was trying, but it’s pretty much us and Bama.

Perine isn’t a bell cow. For comparison: Guice had almost 100 more carries in 2 years at LSU than Perine has had all 3 years to date. He’s not a feature back and doesn’t have that kind of wear and tear. Still don’t think he leaves.
First of all I don't think we want a Percy type player to be getting 83 carries unless it was Percy himself and was a threat to take it to the house every time. For the same reason we don't want a Tim Tebow running the ball. The RBs will stop coming and so would the WR. We want a QB that will run it but not at Tebow's levels. Somebody that is threat to run but will not take too many carries away from the RBs. People also forget that the reason Percy had the success he had was that we had a very good OL that opened gaping holes for him. Of course he had to make the MLB and safeties miss but the hole had to be there. Is our OL at that level yet? I don't think so. Will it be at that level next year? Maybe, maybe not.
For this offense to succeed, we NEED another Tebow to walk through that door.
Correct me if I’m way off, but during the ugaly game I saw DM use EJ on the edge while the RBs were the power runner option between the tackles. I would hope that means DM is willing to do that on a regular basis if he’s got a fast QB and thick RBs that warrant the switch.
Well, EJ weighs 195lbs. Tebow weighed 245.
Well duh. My point is DM showed a willingness to reverse the roles to fit the personnel. Will he do it full time? IDK.
I agree on 8 to 10 but not 20. I want my QB to be a bit more speedy than Tebow and Dak, like Jalon Jones. I like Trey Sanders because he's a large sturdy RB with a 4.5 speed. I don't want Tebow's 3.8 yds per carry of 2008. I want people running the ball to have breakaway speed and the OL to open the holes for them. I want my QBs to pass the ball 25-30 times a game.Regardless of what it's called ("Percy Position" or whatever), Toney (or any player like him in the future) should be getting the ball more than 1.8 carries/game. I think that was a stubborn mistake Mullen made early on (as it seems Toney's touches have increased the last few weeks). Toney should be getting 5+ carries/game and another 3+ touches.
And on the Tebow comment, I firmly disagree. For this offense to succeed, we NEED another Tebow to walk through that door. Sure, there's only one Tim Tebow....but we need a QB that is a mixture of Tebow, Newton, Smith, and Dak. Yes, I'd prefer the QB not to have 20 carries/game....but I'd like to see 8 to 10. Simply put, if the QB is a threat to run, it makes this offense more successful.
I’m going to wait til after signing day to have an opinion but the slow start is worriesome. There’s lots of flip potential out there
I just hope w finish second a lot.this recruiting effort feels very Butterish
