Exactly. It was a perfect play call from a X&O standpoint. You get rid of the absolute mid like Kimber and all of a sudden some of these play calls work. Hundreds of these examples on film. Tbf my original point was about the 3 stars Billy has helped put into the league since 2020 and Mertz is still here. I think Mertz production speaks volumes to Billy’s ability to find his guys and get the most out of them.- TheFoodGator

The only thing I dismissed on rankings was @Swamp Donkey using whatever he did to get #15, #17 and #23. I suggested to at least use the composite or overall rankings to be consistent. Let’s stay on topic, did Billy not develop those guys at UL, Ocy and Ricky? If not, who did?- TheFoodGator

Ocy was a 4* in the portal only. He followed Billy. I realize I said recruited, bad verbiage, but we were talking about development. He put them in the league. We gonna pretend he didn’t develop these guys to fit a narrative? He didn’t develop Ricky now bc he spent a few years at ASU?- TheFoodGator

Dan had 5 kids drafted in 22. Dan also just had a draft class without a single pick, counting transfers out to other schools.
