2-7 vs ranked teams and one of the worst offenses in the country back to back seasons. The East is at an all-time low point. He gets very little credit for winning the SEC East. Very little.

Mac just sucks as an SEC coach. Mid-major? That's his wheel house. He can't get gone soon enough.

All new and fresh info. We can always depend on that....

I really don't think anybody here compares to Coach9.

This is classless and not taking accountability. He is setting a terrible example for this team; not motivating them. Reinforcing the millennial attitude...When you fail, blame something else. He wants to be liked by his players. Similar to parents wanting to be friends with their kids. This will backfire on him and they will ultimately lose respect. "Players coaches" do not succeed long term.

Amen, brother............

I get the feeling that nobody likes Mac

I don't hate Mac. I just wish he acted like he cared during the ball games. The only time you ever see any emotion out of him is when his prized sucky QB is hurt, or in press conferences when asked a tough question... Oh, and fix the horrible play calling. Do it yourself if Nuss isn't capable. I just want what's best for our players. I "hope" Mac has it in him. But so far, the product on the offensive side of the ball has been less than impressive. I'm in the camp that our biggest issue is QB, and Mac doesn't seem willing to take a chance with one of the young QBs even when his chosen starters are stinking up the field.

Again, there are people who will point to the "cupboard was bare" excuse for Mac's failures. I think most of us understand the situation he came into post-Muschamp. But this is the end of YEAR TWO with NO signs of progress on offense. The O still sucks with even without Treon to kick around. Instead, we play two transfer QB rejects who could not start for any other SEC team, while two promising freshmen ride the bench gaining no experience for next season. And it appears we have a coaching staff unable to make significant half-time or in-game adjustments. And yet the best the HBC can come up with following a game is "wasn't that fun?" or "That's why we play the game." Gawd I am so tired of this crap.

I'm amused by the number of you taking Mac to task over a lack of demonstrativeness on the sideline, as if we haven't delved into the other side of the equation over the past six years. Frankly, I don't think our struggles boil down to lack of effort as much as they do lack of talent at certain key positions as well as coaching deficiencies as noted. We're not playing well on the offensive side of the ball and that puts additional physical and mental stress on the defense.

No one can pretend to know Mac's relationship with his players or whether effort or commitment is even remotely connected with our issues.

For the record, I don't hate Mac. I just don't care for his shtick. I admit, it would be much less annoying if he was winning. Bottom line is I don't think he's the right guy for us. I've seen almost no improvement offensively and that alone is enough to can him. Add in his ineptitude on the recruiting trail and there's literally nothing that provides hope for the future with him at the wheel.

I have a theory about why we have so many defensive injuries.... it's cause of the amount of time they are on the field due to our offensive ineptitude. The injured are inevitable when you play that much, so in summary the offense is screwing this team more ways than one

That's not exactly a theory. More like an actuality.

After the game. For asking if we'll be ready for Bama.

I'm so tired of his schtick.

Who was the reporter? I want to shake his hand immediately.

You are going to see what you want to see out of that video. The press conference doesn't concern me as much as the lack of fire on the sidelines.

The officiating was horrible in that game, and McElwain was just shrugged his shoulders. The offensive line play was non-existant, Mac shrugged his shoulders. The quarterback, wasn't seeing open receivers, shrugged shoulders. Receivers dropping passes that are hitting them in the hands, shrugged shoulders. Defensive players missing assignments, shrugged shoulders. either we got the opposite of Muschamp emotionally, or Foley cut off his balls when he went after Taylor last year.

This is a good point. Mac doesn't even state his case to the officials during games.
