I really liked White's post game comments. Said we have a lot to work on, especially offensively. Said we did a terrible job with screens and need to do a better job with that (need some offal screens).

Didn't like his comment about Allen. Said he had planned on taking to him after tonight's game. Probably should have coached him up some after his last 2 games. Hopefully we see crazy improvments Saturday

Wtf was chiozza doing at the end of the game when he threw it out of bounds? That pissed me off. He drives me nuts. He can't just swing the ball. Anyhow, the better team lost but it happens in bball. I'll be anxious to see how we respond. I know vandy doesn't have a great record but they can score enough to put some pressure on our offense. We gotta figure out how to get allen going again imo.

I think White fully understands the limitations of this team. I also like his post game interviews. I really don't think he's clueless, and admits when he should have done something different. We are a few pieces away, but White needs to improve his in game adjustments as well.

Give South Carolina credit for limiting our transition looks, but holy hell, our guys missed wide open 3 after wide open 3, and were missing them BADLY. Then you throw in the horrible percentage from the charity stripe and it was a recipe for disaster. Hell, we held them under 30% shooting for the game and lost. I don't think I've ever seen that.

I assume Cheese was in because Hill fouled out. But that's no excuse.

I m not blaming the refs but they played a role in making the pace a game that favored usce

The much better ACC teams, NE teams, Indiana, Kansas, are well trained fast passing teams with scorers moving into screened off positions, even for lay ups & dunks. Tourney-time those teams will eliminate us right off.

Today was a severe fluke, but I can see similar variations happening again. If so, Vandy will have a good shot at beating us Saturday. Then there's UK. We need at least a semi-dominant 6'11" center.
Our guys can be good shooters, but not stumbling around, passing a Lil bit behind their teammate.
White needs to practice them to iron out the clumsiness.

Hester is no where near ready to be ou primary ball handler. Especially against a team like outh Carolina

Hard to say, I've only seen him play sparingly. I wish we'd have a few more blowouts so we could get a better look at him. I'm just done with Chiozza, he's way too inconsistent/wreckless and brings very little offensively.

I'm going to chalk this up as a fluke game. Sure, our offense goes through ruts, but this kind of shooting night won't happen again.

We have a solid team (6-9 seed probably) but still lack consistent scorers.

That said, can't wait til the day Chiozza leaves. Not to be mean but he's not good.
We will see. Our schedule is still crazy tough. Vandy has the 2nd best offense we would have faced up to that point. We can not play remotely close to this bad against them. Also, next Saturday at Oklahoma is going to be tough. They just beat #7 West Virgina on the road

Yep if we messed around and lost to both Vandy and Oklahoma we would start sweating making the tournament again. We dont have a signature win yet.

The amount of fouls being called certainly didn't help matters. Calling something like 55 fouls in a 40 minute game is disgraceful. I really hope the SEC office talks to their officials about how many fouls they've been calling lately, because it's getting out of hand.

It's like losing to a Ga Southern when they don't complete a pass. You look at their offensive stats and think "no way we lost that game".

Whether it's clanking free throws late in games, dribbling the ball of his shin, or passing the ball out of bounds Chiozza is terrible in crunch time,
and always has been. He's been a waste of a scholarship at this point. We shot ourselves in the foot so many times last night. Fouling a 3 point shooter while down 1 when you have four fouls inside two minutes was also a move of genius by hill. Then big john gets a lane violation on the last missed FT.
Last night was one big joke.

In coach White and his basketball team, us GatorNationers had a bright spot -- an inflation of high hopes.
(Sure, we still can hold up hopes.) It just got deflated and the worrisome puncture strikes us as a failing "style"
that can recur enough to get us knocked out of the year's end tournaments = SEC & NCAA.

Versus SoCar, we did not just have a "leader" or two who had a piss-poor night; we had an every-damn-body
bad night. Now that's a rarity occurrence in top 25 teams -- in tournament-bound teams. I say the hyper-refs
miscalled that game & seem to call more strict against our men... but it was fully our playing execution that
executed us. Coach White & crew have to drill-drill that particular play-style out of this gang. Never again.

Also, IDK how many practice minutes, practice intensity is focused on Egbunu, but I'd say it's time to shift
more investment concentration on those who replace him. Egbunu gives less return-on-investment than
Hayes ... and less than who else plays inside for us = I know Stone shows a better body-control and at least
a shooting touch, which Ebugnu never shows. (Yes, E gives rebounds, blocked shots, but so would his subs.)
The typical contribution line with Egbunu's game is 6 "in-close" FG shots with 2 made (2-6) = that gives
us 4 TOs right there, plus the 2 more he usually loses before shooting (6 TOs/game)?? As you can see, I am
frustrated by our "center-giant". I'd love to see AD Stricklin get Egbunu a "gel-grant loan" to hire
Akeem Olajuwon for intense tutoring on really effective big-man playing. Please, please, please!

Also, we need better intense concentration-focus on "catching, handling" every pass as well as for every potential
pass. { Have the S&C coach work with our guys at physically expanding their hands to enhance
each's grip 10%.} The passes need to be thrown with more BBall authority -- please. So, coach'em
out of so many of these
"body-out-of-control" harried passes that are bobbled or TOs. {Coach White, Stop it! I say! }.

So I send a toast on behalf of us "needy" Gator-fans: BBall Gators, please enjoy expending extra enthusiasm
at erasing flaws, at dominating the inside & rim, at speed-directed passing, at more dunks, at more aware
rebound "safe-positioning" {i.e. without fouling}, at "wise-trailing" for the pass from your driving teammate, and
especially personally raise your FT% 10% each, etc.

PS>> If any 6'6" Gator shoots his FTs underhanded = muscle-joint movements flow-swing smoother
and his release-point is 2+ feet closer to that rim-target, so the brain-muscular biofeedback pattern
to absorb has many less contra-variables. IDK, but one long practice session filmed and tabulated
ought to show enough mastery-growth to encourage many. S'pose 4 tall guys can improve FTs 5%??

Sorry for the "long-write", but these guys have the raw ingredients to be a gourmet recipe team.

Coach White should hire Rod as an assistant coach. Or Rog, just show up at practice and see what he says.
