I seem to remember him doing very well at Texas Tech. And a la SOS, he could coach the offense and leave the D in the hands of a good DC. Look what that got us 20 years ago: Our first national title.
He's had exactly one season with fewer than 3 losses his entire career. 113-77 career record with one divisional title to show for it.

We can agree to disagree. Look, his coaching stops weren't at the flagship university in the state of Florida. 5 star recruits surrounding the area and all it would take is for Florida football to be fun again for them to come knocking on our door. And with that kind of talent, I think he could win and win big.

That'd be awesome if kids actually wanted to come here to play anymore.

Give him the option to dress up as a pirate during games and he'll coach for free

A man with a fetish as strong as Leach for pirates, should have constant surveillance at Disney, and God forbid he ever runs into Johnny Depp.

I love Mike Leach, but did he talk about why his vaunted offense only scored 12 points against Minnesota in the bowl game?
Iowa's the only team that scored less against the Gophers (7).

Yeah, that was pretty bad....and Minnesota missed practice time after the players "boycotted" (or whatever) in support of rapists....and got their coach fired.

To Leach's credit though, he puts a winning team on the field w a bunch of 2-star players. If they land a single 4-star at Wazzou they celebrate until spring practice!

The UF Athletic Dept tweeted out we already have an air raid offense under Mac and Nuss.

No one likes the steaming pile of shyt that 13 of the SEC offenses.

The Pirate would be a great OC but he has no business running a team. No one off the Mumme tree knows a thing about defense.

Donkey: Hey, MIke? It's me, Mac. I'm looking for an OC. They finally made me fire him.
Pirate: Really? Florida let you keep Nussdunce for four years? I've never heard of an OC being 100th or worse for 5 years in a row.
Donkey: Yeah..... HEY! you know that we go to Tampa some years when we don't go to Nashville, and THERE IS A PIRATE SHIP THERE!!!!
Pirate: Sounds purty kewl!

I agree with him. Lack of coaches with an offensive imagination is why the SEC East is so terrible right now.
I agree. We're all trying to do the same and it makes it even harder for each team to score

we can make fun of him, but he has a point. It seems like every sec team fits the bama mold/ trying to fit the bama mold/style. The days of option/spread we saw under spurrier/urban has become more of a pro style under mac which isnt necessarily a bad thing... look at bama's success you just need the depth and size to implement that style.

Let's just buy him a home, decorate a man cave in a tasteful pirate motive and hire the man. If he has any darker requirements, get that man all the pirate blow-up dolls he wants. He damn sure couldn't do any worse than Nuss as an OC.

Pirate strikes me as a foot guy, or something even weirder.
