White is solid and is going to be here a very long time I would guess. Has the team playing together well. Great chemistry. I really enjoy watching this team.

Interesting post-game comments from Frank Martin. He said the Gators were now playing the game as though seeing through White's eyes. That after a year and a half he has begun to instill his philosophy into the way they play. He said it was fun to watch as a fan but not fun to coach against. Seemed to be pretty strong praise from an opposing coach.

One thing that really struck me about White last night was our halftime adjustments. I think we had 2 or 3 assists in the first half to go along with a million turnovers. We came out and our first six baskets were all assisted. They mentioned that stat when it happened and I'm not sure if we continued that streak for a bit or not. Regardless it shows us that White is identifying problems and correcting them. I still think this team could be a Sweet 16 team if we don't go cold in the tourney.

Always funny to read the pages as the game goes on. All the panic and joy and "oh White stinks and doesn't know how to coach" and then "oh what a great coaching job by White!" So which one is it??? Good coaching is being able to make adjustments in the game which White has done ALL YEAR LONG!! In White we Trust!! White doing work baby!! Haters and Complainers like FireFoley OWNED and DESTROYED....YET AGAIN baby!! Go Gators!!

Hmmmm, and I was sooooo close to petitioning UF to get rid of White and hiring firefoley so we would never experience the pain of losing ever again...

It was very clear that the message at halftime was "move the ball." They destroyed the zone the 2nd time around.

DRob balled last night Goon. Thoughts?
DRob was a beast last night! Had great stats but impacted the game even more than what the stats show.
If it weren't for Allen filling up the stat sheet and playing with a ton of energy as well, DRob would have been POG.

Chalk one up for InstiGator!

Thanks, he did play really well. I still think like Allen he needs to be coached up to be aggressive.

He is either passive or super aggressive (forcing bad shots). Needs to find a happy medium. I'm happy with his production this year though!

I didn't get a chance to see the game yesterday because I am at a work conference in SF, but from the highlights and stats it looked like the team played great as a hole. I know USCe seems to be struggling, but this was still a very good win. Winning 9 in a row in any league is very good and if our name was Kentucky we would be a top 10 team right now.... we just will have to win Saturday to prove it!

I also want to give @Instigator! props for being on the DRob train. From everything I heard and saw it seemed like he played with that aggressive mentality that he was going to impact the game on both ends. If he continues to play like that then I can absolutely see him leaving at the end of the year. I can also still see Allen possibly leaving at the end of this year.

White has this team playing very very well right now. What really stands out to me is how well they are moving the ball. I know they seemed to struggle in the 1st half (from what I read), but White gets them playing team basketball and it reminds me of how they used to share the ball when Billy was here. The team definitely did not do that last year.

One more thing... White said that this team likes each other as much as any team he has been around. I really think that is a key factor. The 04s were very tight and I think when you like the people you play with you are more likely to make that extra pass to help them succeed because you view everything as a team and are not focused on building your individual stats.

Robinson, Leon and Barry are UF's advantage against UK. UK plays a guard at the 3 and is not very good at the 4. UF needs to play even at the guard spots and the center spot and then win the game at the 3 and 4 spots.

Leon has the ugliest 3 point shot.

And the Gators jump to number 4 in Kenpom:

http://kenpom.com/
4 Kenpom, 6 RPI, 14 Top 100 RPI wins, 6-5 against the top 50 RPI, 23-5 (13-2)

That is a damn good resume. We are 2 shots from being undefeated to this point in conference, who would have thought that. Saturday's game is huge for our seeding. If we win, man that would jump us up a line. We need to find that happy place without Egbunu and I think we found it in the second half last night. If we can keep that up going forward and get Barry back to 100% and Stone playing like he did last night, but also making shots.....look out NCAA!

The key to our seed is the UK game. We need to when to stay up there with the 1s and 2s. If we lose, it isn't that bad, but would keep us around 3 and 4 depending on the last 2 games of the season and the SEC Tournament

The UK game is going to be tough. Playing @UK is always tough and they are going to be extra amped up after we beat them by 22!

We need to avoid getting down early and letting momentum kill us

It looks pretty when it goes through the net!

Amen ATX! It looks like he's Encino Man just exposed to basketball. But by his accuracy, I am in thaw of him.

The studio host said Allen is the teams leading scorer but this was the first game he has lead the team in scoring all year, that's an amazing stat if true and speaks volumes about this team.
Faking news ezzagg to increase "the hook" on the audience.... The Hook =

Makes a "tee-hee" color story but our game leaders are:

Barry at 7 times (when Canyon scored 30, Leon followed with 17)
K.Allen at 5 times (once 23 followed by Leon's 19)(29 vs Vandy)
DRob at 5 times
Leon at 2 (but 3 or 4 times was 2nd leading scorer with 17-18 -19)
K.Hill at 3 times
Keith Stone at 1 (14 pts ... but took fewest shots)
Chiozzoro at 3 (needed him badly that game)

Gonzaga spreads points among teammates similar to our way. We should have a coach sitting behind our bench-warming big men using the good big men on other teams as examples on how to operate beneath the basket.
Hayes is learning, just needs a "big" companion. When Egbunu returns, teammates need it beaten into their skulls that Hayes is the inside scorer 62% to Eggy's 49% clangs.
I really like the makeup, like each player's learning progress, etc. Egbunu should practice arm-shooting from a wheelchair, practice vice-grip on catching passes. Don't waste downtime.

BTW, the Sagarin numbers indicate that UF should be about +4 at UK. If the number opens higher than that, then the odds makers are giving UK more than the typical 3 point home advantage.
