I saw the article was about Clemson's over the top facility and I've already read/seen everything about it.
No, we shouldn't be behind, but I am happy Mac is pushing for major overhauls. We can be happy on here sometimes believe it or not. This is a positive development, let's not crap on it already.

It's not "over the top". It's what kids want these days. I did not crap on anything. This project should be being wrapped up right now not in its infancy. You can call it what ever you want but even the most die hard pumpers will agree we are late to the game. I am HAPPY it is finally getting started....started...I am disappointed we are so far behind.
I don't care if you dance around in Dandelions and have Woodstock 3. We're late to the party.

The project should have been done. Unless you have a time machine then continuously bitching about the same mistakes is useless. How about being happy that we are fixing those mistakes instead of focusing on pointing out the mistakes that we cannot go back and change.
This looks like a great stand alone facility that is build by the same firm that did Clemsons. While it probably won't have all the bells and whistles that Clemsons does it will have more than enough to keep us competitive and make recruits not feel like they are missing out.
So for once... stop trying to harp on every mistake that cannot be changed and enjoy the fact that we are correcting them now... which is all we can do at this point!

Thank you for agreeing with me. I did not poo poo the project. It's more like...it's about time than anything else. I hope it is close to Clemson's otherwise we are just putting another band-aid on it. When is the completion date?

For what it's worth, I don't think I'm qualified to create a thread on this, but at the basketball game a couple of weeks ago, a (assistant?) coach of some team on campus was in the seat a row in front of me. The guy next to him was asking about the coach's team's facilities and how they compare to the competition. The coach said they were alright, but it lead to an explanation about Mac pretty much does what he wants as if he's the AD as far as the football program is concerned. Again, take that for what it's worth, but I think if talk around the athletic department is that he's running his own ship how he wants, you guys might have to get used to yellow being an alternate color around here with butters.
Facilities being the conversation starter I felt like this was a good thread to comment this in. Look for renovations to continue if what the coach said was true... in which case the next guy is gonna have quite a bit of luxury whenever his time comes

We all know Florida's facilities when it comes to football are not "alright" when compared to other top schools.
It makes a difference. Give these kids a cool fun place to hang or they will go where somebody else does.
