This just in :
This thursday a Melrose 5th grade boy leapt atop a lunch-table and shouted out extremely foul ideas. Authorities are not sure if he was imitating Winston or Cartman from South Park elementary.??

BTW, who the hell is giving the Bucs and Winston this advice? The advice you give him is STFU and donate money to children's hospitals or something.

Who would think letting that moron speak in public could possibly help even a little?

I read all the transcripts and depositions in depth on the case (hey, I am retired and found the case interesting) and the girl changed her story 3 to 4 times. According to the girl's friends, she went outside the bar and willingly left in the cab with Jameis and friends. Some of her friends did not think she was impaired. and I can't remember if that was proved or not when she went to the hospital. Did he take advantage of the situation, oh sure. By leaving in the cab with them, willingly going into his apartment and into his bedroom she put herself in a situation that I think she later regretted. There were a lot of conflicting issues. FSU, of course, paid off to simply make it go away. Common sense will tell you he is only mentoring Perry relative to football and I seriously doubt he is advising him as to how to steal crab legs and rape young women even though I jokingly alluded to that. *BTW, Perry met Winston thru a player @ Perry's high school in Ocala that was a few years ahead of him and who now plays in the pros for the Saints.

I found the following on the internet from the Orlando Sentinel as I had wondered about the status of the civil suit. I believe the trial is to take place in Orlando.

"Jameis Winston and the woman who is suing him for sexual battery have agreed to a tentative trial date in the spring of 2017. *Jameis has a counter suit against her which her attorneys tried to get dismissed, but the judge refused to do so; thus, I assume his counter suit is still active.

According to documents filed with the U.S. District Court’s Middle District and obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, representatives for Winston and accuser Erica Kinsman agreed to set a deadline of Oct. 14, 2016, for evidence discovery in the civil trial. The two parties also estimate a jury trial in Orlando would start on April 3, 2017, and could last about 10 days.

Erica Kinsman accused Winston, a former standout quarterback for FSU who was selected first overall in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, of sexually assaulting her in December 2012 when both were students in Tallahassee.

The state attorney’s office announced in December 2013 that it would not charge Winston, and a FSU code-of-conduct hearing later found no wrong-doing by Winston."

blah blah blah
Accounts are that there were at least six victims, all who tell similar stories. Gawd knows how many others that were afraid to come forward.

Clown Town has been famous for date rape drugs since long before Sebastian Rapekowski.

Your not paying that much attention because she is already a multimillionaire. I hope the others sue also.

The Bucs dropped the ball. Very embarrassing.

Yes, and I know one person whose friend read one of the other reports that were filed.

It doesn't seem that likely to me that most people in this day and time would come into an elementary school and say this. I don't blame Winston so much, he said what he believed in the context of trying to make a point with the boys who apparently were his focus.. The other adults should have remembered who they were dealing with. His talent is football. Not public speaking or wisdom in working with children.

It's one thing to say something in passing, like women are quieter, etc, but in the context of the stand up, girls you sit down, your SUPPOSED to be whatever, and the fact he was that he was talking to very impressionable 2nd graders, not adults around the water cooler. Also, it is very sexist which is something schools supposedly try to avoid. He basically told the girls without using the precise words to give up on their dreams and be passive and circumspect. How well does that work in today's world, guys?. Young kids are not teens. They take things to heart as if the older person might just know something.. And what's more, now the boys, wanting to be manly and cool like the sports icon think this is acceptable to demand from the girls socially and in relationships.

Also given the mysogynist background, the people that set this up should have predicted if he got into gender roles it was not going to be what you want to expose your young elementary students to believing from someone they are innocent enough to believe in.

I blame whoever set it up. The principal should have declined, but most people in Tampa don't really know his background, and frankly, it might have been set up above her head. The Bucs organization has wide connections.

I don't understand why people are jumping on Winston for this.... We all know who he is and he didn't suddenly a become a better person when he started playing pro football. It's tantamount to letting a tiger visit with school children and then blaming the tiger for mauling one of them.

Blame the idiot that thought it a good idea to let Winston speak to the children.
