This is pretty impressive:

UCF plans lazy river as part of athletics village renovations

UCF already added cabana seating to the football stadium. Now they’re looking at building a lazy river as part of an athlete recovery zone.

On Monday, athletic director Danny White announced a more than $5 million donation toward a $25 million athletics village project. The donation has put the school past the $10 million mark.

Among the upgrades in the project include that recovery zone, a football operations enhancement, a student-athlete nutrition center, an athletics plaza and more.

“We are going to build the finest athletics village in the nation, which will help us recruit and retain championship-caliber coaches and student-athletes to achieve all of our dreams for UCF athletics,” White said in a video about the project.

In an era where Clemson's new football building has a putt-putt course, a slide and a nap room, a lazy river for those hot Florida summers sounds comforting.

Lol, pools are already common. Cold water to limit the swelling and low impact for people post surgery. Making it a lazy river to encourage its use probably is only a minor additional expense, but Im sure something the kids appreciate.

Well, we were already occasionally losing receuits to UCF and USF. Their AD, who is a prick btw, is obviously all in. I never imagined a day when the directional schools had better facilities and were a recruiting threat, but I never thought wed be last in the SEC in facilities (or offense) either.

At least we are better than FIU and FAU for the moment.

I hear they're going to put it right between the Harry Potter "Adventure Ride to Hogwarts" rollercoaster and the bungee jump tower.

This is getting f'ing ridiculous.

Tristan Payton, Dread Snelson, Aaron Dowdell, and every OL, DL, LB, and QB. You dont get down to stealing 2 stars from FAU, FIU, and Southwestern Houston Independent Baptist Community College without missing on their 3 stars first.

News alert!! Three UCF offensive linemen, each well over 300 lbs, were lost to the team yesterday. Due to sudden inner-tube failure, they plunged to the bottom of Lazy River, Since they sucked they drowned. Also, authorities have no clue how that gator got into the river?

Butch Jones was first to tweet condolences = "Even in death, they were Champions at Life. Just row with the flow UCF."

The campus @UCF has become a fantastic village unto itself. Unlike the City of Miami, the City of Orlando greatly supports UCF in all aspects. My son graduated from UCF in 1988 and the expansion/changes since that time is unbelievable.

you've never been to the lazy river at Wild Adventures. since they're only waist deep, "most brothers" know that they can sand up and not drown
