Something to add. Mac commented once again about Trask's understanding of the game. Mac and the staff have said this repeatedly. They have also said how impressed they are with his ability to process information. They have said this far, far more about Trask than Franks. This is a fact. It could mean nothing or something. We'll find out.

McElwain said that Trask has still put a few snaps on the ground, but he's working on that. Said he's really impressed with Trask knowing where he's supposed to go, understanding the game. They just need to speed things up in terms of his game speed and "cutting it loose a little faster."

I'm not sure that sounds like he is processing things very fast. Lol. This makes me think that Franks is much better in live fire exercises. Trask is more accurate. I think we are in trouble.

He also said Trask is dropping the center exchange and needs to anticipate where the receiver will be instead of seeing it....

FIFY. Bowl is consistent. He has been rooting for the third string QB since the beginning (Murphy and Provancha days).

I do like that Butters mentions that they are letting them hit him some to enforce that they have to get the ball out earlier. He also mention KT fumbling and not getting the ball out fast enough. That is just what youd expect from a kid who hasnt played football before.

Actually it seemed to me like he talked about Toney more than anyone. The answers are usually the result of the questions being asked. I would read much into for you worried that Toney is the starter.

Goldkamp's thread today is titled "Practice Notes: Franks Top Trask in Early Work Tuesday"....

No offence camp Trask but it's sounding more and more likely what I figured he would be. A serviceable backup that's not Del Taco

Franks will start and they will find a way to get Toney on the field. From what I've heard he's electric with the ball in his hands when scrambling

Well if that's the case then it's even worse for Trask.

If you're having issues like Trask is without contact or live game type situations then imagine when it is like that

I have said it more than once that I expect Franks to start but every single time I hear someone mention Trask (besides donkey dick) they brag on his accuracy and his arm and how pretty his passes look. I dont care if he never plays a down even the haters need to acknowledge the kid can pass the ball.

I swear reading his headlines and then seeing or hearing what actually happened its almost as if Mac told him he better report Franks is doing the best no matter what happens. Not sure if Franks will get the Michigan start but they are bending over backward to make sure he has no ideas of transferring in his head.

I think he (Trask) should get to play but if he doesnt oh well. That will just mean we have a better player already playing.

I fully expect Franks to start. I was just pointing out the coaches consistent comments on Trask. That usually means something. Still, there are plenty of comments from teammates to writers that speak about how introverted Trask is to the point is affects his play on the field. If he comes out of it, he could be good. If not, he'll never see the field. I also think fans should be wary of Franks. He'll probably always have accuracy issues due to his mechanics being so bad. I don't think that will ever get fixed.

I agree. I expected to see Franks and LDR this season, along with packages for Toney. Im not convinced that any of them should be starting for an SEC team.

Franks if you watch those 3 interceptions in the Spring game and some of his others its like he has reading a defense issue. All 3 of those passes it could easily be seen not to throw the ball with the defender in that position. I know its way too early to know much but if one really surprises to the upside I would probably bet on Trask right now. I just hope Mac makes the Spring game a little challenging for the QBs so we can see where Franks is really at.

I took Mac's comments to mean it might have been the center. He certainly wasn't clear, probably purposefully so. It's just the first week.
