I got that article emailed to me too jay... it came with a 2nd article that stated emphatically that Franks is the clear cut #1 and its not close right now. It was written by the same guy. Lesbi honest, its just authors throwing stuff against the wall for offseason clicks.
You mean like the ones claiming some has been/never was will be the starter?

Grossman was the 8th rated quarterback in his class... so he was under recruited?

Well he should have been #1

I saw somewhere that he had to send his tape to SOS which is where I got the "under recruited" thing from. I was obviously wrong

Doesn't change the fact that Trask was a hidden gem

#1 in his class was the only 5 star quarterback (according to Rivals) Chris Simms.

1999 quarterback class

Chris Simms - only 5 star
J.P. Losman
Kyle Boller
Chris Massey
Gary Brashears
Chris Lewis
Kyle Matter
Rex Grossman

Ken Dorsey was a 3 star ranked 24th in the country in that class as well

He did send his tape to him. Because he was not being recruited by him. Because he's from somewhere like Indiana. And he desperately want to play for Spurrier.

The list is for College success.

at least 5 on that list ended up in the League, and 3 were first round picks (other two 3rd rounders). So if 5 our of 9 were in the league, with 3 out of the top 8 first round picks (37.5%)... I would say Rivals was pretty accurate in their potential.

Yea I'm not bagging rivals, just saying that those QBs literally did nothing in the pros outside of Sexy Rexy.

Same could be said for a log of HS classes, only 32 starting jobs in the NFL, more than that leave College every year and enter the draft. At most only 96 quarterbacks on active rosters.

"Deadly accurate." Wow, looks like we got another Grossman on our hands! An under recruited baller!

Franks talks about taking charge this spring
Florida redshirt freshman quarterback Feleipe Franks has taken the early lead in the quarterback competition with a renewed sense of confidence.

A healthy LDR knows the game plan, knows who he should throw it to, has good touch on short and medium passes, but CANNOT throw the deep pass. What's the point of having lightning fast receivers if they have to stop and wait for the ball? LDR should be our contingency plan.

Knows who he should throw it to? That moronic **** ran 10 yards backwards just to throw it to the TE for a two yard gain. If he wasn't doing that, he was too busy throwing it into double and triple coverage.

LDR wouldn't start for any other SEC team, period. Hell he wouldnt start for any P5 team.

Yeah, thats the way it used to be, top rated Qbs and others begging us to give them an offer.

I am just trying to look at the extremely limited practice tape we get and listen to the spin the coaches and players give when asked about the QBs and it seems likely Franks is still having quite a few issues upstairs. As far as Trask I don't know really what to think because when he is talked about its mostly just Franks is in the lead or he needs to be more assertive etc. but you see him making nice throws where he lays it in there many times where only the receiver is in good position for it while Franks just guns it high usually making them hard to catch on the shorter stuff and I haven't seen a lot of good touch on those long sideline routes etc. from him. I don't know how Trask would turn out but each day gets me thinking Franks may not be the answer. But I also know the coaches would say things to keep Franks on the roster for 2017 even if they were thinking they may have to go with Trask.
