I found this article and thought it was great reading waiting for the game tonight. Read the excerpt and then click on the link. The excerpt is from early in the piece but not the very beginning.

Over the course of the 2006 and 2007 NCAA tournaments, Florida went 12-0, outscoring its dozen opponents by an average of 15 points per game, with only four wins coming by single digits, and one of those — a 57-53 victory over Georgetown in the 2006 Sweet 16 — coming by fewer than seven points.

It wasn't just the back to backs. It was the back to backs coupled with two football titles in a span of three years. We were sitting on top of the world. I remember thinking I better enjoy this while it lasts.

Just last night I was looking at the Sports Illustrated I saved from those halcyon days. It is split down the vertical middle with Brewer on the left and Leak on the right with the headline "Year of the Gators":

I have a bookshelf that is only gator stuff and gator books. Have everyone of the sports illustrateds on our championships on them. Started reading tales of the swamp to my 3 year old daughter recently as bed time stories.

That's awesome! I may use that idea for my kids.

Insta, you made my day. What a great story. I wish Lee and Noah had a few quotes but it was outstanding to read things about that run I had never heard about. I hope the guys can contact and chat our boys up if they get to the final four. They know what its all about and how to handle it.

On the front page this thread title read as: "10 years after, Florida players fondl..." and I was more than a little apprehensive to click on it.
