Here is my 2017 Projected AP Top 10.

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Florida State
4. USC
5. Oklahoma
6. Clemson
7. Penn State
8. Washington
9. Wisconsin
10. Florida

Phil Steele's 2017 College Football Preview will be hitting stores nation wide on June 27th.

FSU, USC, Oklahoma and Wisky are all ranked too high in this poll, and Washington probably is, too. I won't comment on us, if for no other reason than I'd love it to be true.

Didn't say that. It was a jab at all the posters who have been slobbering all over Eason, 2 RBs coming back, Kirby kicking our ass in recruiting, and predicting they'll win the East. They've shown no inkling they can beat us the past couple of years, why presume they will this season? Obviously Steele's AP poll prediction says what I say..............F<ck the Dwags!!

I think Eason is the real deal. Chubb isn't Chubb anymore since his leg decided to fold up like a lawn chair. Their defense is pretty shytty too. They're probably looking at 8-9 wins if they're lucky

Last year's four loss season by Butch Bandboy at UTooth and Kirby da Dwag's five loss season are both evidence that they SUCK, however Butterteef's 4 loss seasons are a sign of improvement.

Yep....pretty much nailed it. Only WE get better in the off-season. No other program besides ours has off-season workouts, practices, players-only practices, film study, etc. Only WE will improve....even though we lost 7 defensive starters and don't have a QB. :D

Why?

FSU returns 16 starters, including their QB.
Oklahoma returns 16, including their QB.
USC returns 12, including their star QB.
Wisky returns 15, including their QB.

Also, if they are ranked too high, who should be ranked there instead?

Each of those teams has consistently shown a propensity for underperforming and choking away a game or two (or 3) despite always seeming to return a bundle of talent, with the exception of 1 or two seasons in the past 10 or so years, that's why.

Just noticed that. I wonder if that has happened before in the BCS/Playoff era where they had the final top 2 teams at the top of the preseason poll even if it was flipped.

Dude, every team ranked in a pre-season top 5 that doesn't win the NC "underperforms" and "chokes"....and hell, some of the NC teams "choke" or underperform (see UF vs. Ole Miss 2008). But even if those teams you mentioned are "overrated", who should be ranked in those spots instead? Someone has to finish 2nd, and 3rd, and 4th, etc. If you go 11-2 and finish ranked 5th is that "overrated"? No, usually the 5th ranked team in the country has 2 losses. Hell, sometimes they have 3 losses. LSU won the national title w/ two losses in 2007! If USC wins the P12 w/ 1 loss then loses in the NC game are they "overrated"? Unless Alabama or Ohio State wins the NC every year are they overrated? Someone has to be ranked in that spot (2, 3, 4, etc), who would you put there instead? I think that projected AP top 6 is pretty dead on to most every pre-season poll we'll see this year.

FYI, around this neck of the woods, it's perfectly acceptable to trash UGA in any thread. We're Gators. We hate UGA. It's what we do. FSU too.

Understood. But the point still stands. Why's he asking me about UGA, as if I'm pumping up UGA as a "team to beat" when I never mentioned UGA in that thread. I think he's on drugs, been huffing, or half way through a 1.75 of cheap whiskey!

BTW, I'm from Jacksonville and grew up in the 80's (school years) when UGA beat our asses like it was their job. I hate UGA w/ a passion!
