Sorry to have been so absent. Unexpected health issues. Not to bore, but had a bout of diverticulitis at the beginning of March and couldn't shake it. Wound up being a perforation and had to have surgery pretty quick. Ostomy bag was a nice parting gift (but will have another surgery in June to reconnect the sewer)! Got out of the hospital 7 days later and was recovering, but had to go back for another week with an infection. Been back home 2 weeks or so and haven't felt too sporty until today, so I hope I'm on the upswing. Hope to watch the replay soon and will certainly share my impressions. Just so you know I'm not slacking.

Would have been preferable!

C2, glad you're recovering. I got a PM from one of the fellas telling me you were out of commission. Glad you chimed in. This board is growing, but we're still small enough to care about each other (well, most of us!! :D ). Getting old sucks....I'm knocking on 50's door and wonder where all those years went everytime I look in the mirror. Get well!

Appreciate it all guys. Stud and I will both probably tell you that there are, indeed, a lot of things about growing old that sucks, but it beats the heck out of the alternative! Like the Duke once said..."Every day above ground is a good day!"

Wow that is some bad luck. Take care of yourself first because without doing that nobody else can benefit.

I greatly appreciate your analysis, I don't have the skills to do that. Once again get well.

Wow cover, hope you get to feeling better. Sounds like a real pain in the ass.

Now think of how much toilet paper you are going to save.

Get well C2. My 22 year old niece recently got diagnosed with diverticulitis and some other colon stuff, lost 40 pounds in two months but she is better now. Hang in there bro.

I appreciate all the well wishes from you guys. Great bunch of "day brighteners" and a privilege to share your company.

Not much pain in the @ss. My primary concern is that the ol' bunghole doesn't forget it's part in the process when they reconnect the pipes in June! As for saving the t.p., it's not as much as you think as you still have to have it when emptying and cleaning the bag. There is a sense of efficiency you get from this process, though I miss some good reading time.

@cover2 , feel better soon, hope you can shyt straight again soon
As alluded to above, I'm just looking forward to taking one conventionally again. Straight, sideways, or similar to soft serve ice cream...no preference, just results.

40 pounds is the number, as that's what I've dropped. Haven't been this lean in a while. Certainly an effective way to lose weight, but I think I'd rather give Jenny Craig the first shot! I'm hangin' and starting to feel better after the first month and a half. Be sure you all are getting enough fiber!

P/S - Also enjoyed the references in the box this morning!

Cover, glad to see you back among the living. Here's a great compendium of excremental proportion you may find interesting, at the least find some solace in someone else's misery.

Yoiks! A perforation is no joke, Cover. I know they can also hurt like a mofo. I'm glad they'll be doing a reversal relatively soon. Best wishes on a fast recovery. MacElwain will be sad to hear that popcorn is no longer in your future.

Get well soon cover. And some advice...with your condition you may not want to watch the Orange and Blue game. It may cause serious intestinal issues.
