Honestly I hope everything works out for the kid, but at the same time somebody needs to give him the old "look son" talk.

I'm not sure why some posters are so vitriolic towards Trask. Should we start maligning every player on our team that isn't good enough to be a starter?

Its not Trask. Its simply people who live miserable lives that have to attack innocent kids who are trying to succeed in life and have a much higher upside and chance to excel than they do.

He will be alright. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts some games for us this season if Zaire doesn't end up here.

We will see at least two qbs this season, especially if the line play during the O&B game is an indication.

Franks has, at least, one or two 4-5 int games in him. He'll get pulled. After re-watching the spring scrimmage, a lot of that wasn't Trask's fault. His biggest mistakes were trying to force a few throws under pressure which all young QBs do. I have little doubt that if Franks played behind that garbage o-line, he'd have looked just as bad.

You're kidding, right?

Go look at that throw he made into triple coverage that got picked. That's not a "forced" throw, that is the product of not having "it" when under pressure and just tossing it instead of throwing the ball away.

Trask showed exactly why he should have never been offered a scholarship here; when there is actual pressure and he needs to check down or make reads, he looks terrible. Even with the first team offense he made a couple of poor choices and almost was picked again by walk-ons. This is a product of being a career backup.

I'm not saying Franks is the answer either, he clearly is a TO waiting to happen but hell he is still head and shoulders above Kyle Trash.

Point is we need Zaire badly.

False.

It's the fact that a lot of us are tired of slobbering all over a kid who clearly should have never been offered a scholly here.

He sucks, it's fairly obvious.

What is the time frame for recovering from this type of surgery?

Hopefully it's quick and he can participate in team workouts over the summer.

It's going to be a long off-season....

I've heard of guys exhausting their eligibility before recovery is complete......

Yeah, thats why almost every report we see is bragging on his arm and his accuracy. Every player that gets asked, every coach, every reporter say the same thing. I am on record saying he isnt ready to be an SEC QB right now and he may never be but to say he sucks is an untrue statement.

We also heard Treon is great...

Just saying, you can't always take what the players/coaches say. You think when asked they are going to be like "yeah, he sucks"
