They like him because he's going to take them back to the days they remember most. Losing seasons, no bowl games. You know, before SOS got there. They really couldn't handle the expectations SOS brought. They're just glad to get back into their comfort zone.

Chump should never of had a high tier HC job like UF to cut his teeth. I'm not surprised by those results and USCe will continue to "approve" his performance for a long time. They will be happy with 3-5 losses every year.
Chump should have started at the level of USCe, Vandy, USF, FAU, or UCONN for his first HC job.

I think USCe sticks with Chump for a long time. Their expectations aren't very high. A win once a season against someone other than Vandy or Kentucky will suffice for that fan base.
