Obviously, the Bears thought he was head and shoulders better than the other QB's. I guess time will tell.
In terms of arm, mobility, seeing the field, feeling the rush, throwing under pressure (he's esp good there), he is. Whether or not that translates better than, say, Deshaun Watson, who's clutch under pressure and a natural leader but not what you call a classic quarterback, remains to be seen.
You can't win in the NFL without a solid QB and you can't win in the NFL without occasionally taking big risks. This was Ryan Pace's defining moment. He bet heavy on this kid because he felt he was very special. It'll be a feast or famine proposition.
