Actually the worst case is Nuss turns it around, wins SEC and National Championship with number 1 offense (leads nation in passing, rushing, YAC, etc.) and is fired.

This article is critical because Mac did not know these stats before now. Since he now knows, he will fire Nuss tomorrow! :sohappy:

We all blame Nuss. The scary thing is, is the problem really Nuss? No matter what OC worked for Chump, the offensive philosophy stayed the same. I'm of the opinion now that firing Nuss won't fix the problem with the offense since that problem is Mac.

If Mac knows (and how could he not) Nuss isn't cutting it why not take over play calling and fix his offense himself unless he knows he's not capable either.

A great head coach would take the reigns from a coordinator before he allowed him to finish ranked in the 100's 2 years in a row. why hasn't Mac?

Because we haven't had a quarterback. So what would it have mattered?

You can argue some of that but in the end the proof is in the results.
IMHO I have no doubt that Nuss will be gone if there's not a drastic improvement. As much as I/we give MaryAnn $hit for the Nuss rumor I bet there was fire to that smoke. And Mac has been taking subtle shots at Nuss just like he did at Summers before he was fired.

I have not noticed any subtle shots at Nuss. The only thing I can remember is Mac mentioning that our play calling needs to be a bit more creative. I took that as Mac simply echoing what everyone was already saying.

What else have you heard?

I posted a couple of quotes earlier. One at mid season, one at the end of the season. The rest are impressions from press conferences etc.

So here are the possible outcomes for 2017 (I smell a poll) :
Nuss turns it around and is retained
Nuss turns it around just enough to get a job offer somewhere else
Nuss turns it around just enough to make it debatable (worst case scenario)
Nuss doesn't turn it around and is retained
Nuss doesn' turn it around and gets fired.

This will definitely be a "wait and see", but hell yeah. Hey Nussy, that crap you did last year?......Don't do it anymore. Article is obvious, but Nussy may be oblivious. Definitely make or break for Nuss. And this is just as much on Mac too, his responsibility.

Has anyone linked Mac on Facebook or Twitter to this article?
