What an idiot.

Yes if the booster were previously disassociated. If based on the issue in this investigation Mississippi disassociated him, then not so much.

As it turns out the booster is one that was disassociated in this investigation and from the article it is unclear how many if any of the 200 phone calls were after the guy was disassociated.

The fact that he was calling hookers and shady boosters knowing the NCAA was investigating him just speaks to how arrogant, or stupid, he has to be to think he'll get away with it. Especially using a phone issued by your employer. An employer whose records including your phone calls can be summoned at almost any time through FOIA.

All while saying that the majority of the violations happened under the previous regime.

The fact that he was calling ... shady boosters

Every coach in the country calls shady booster right until the second their university disassociates the booster and possibly a bit after to console the disassociated. Sadly many many boosters are shady and every school has shady boosters.

Now calling hookers is a different thing.

Not while they're personally being investigated by the NCAA. And not by using the school issued phone. He's and idiot.

Ha! Coaches do not stop calling boosters when the NCAA comes to town. And of course they call them on their official phone as calling on an unofficial one yells dirty business.
