17 players injured or being held out of the scrimmage tonight. Then Add the 7 who are suspended that makes 24 players out!

I like that the upperclassmen who have proven themselves/kids who are dinged up being held out...but damn that's alot of players not getting reps!

From the article:

Florida will also move walk-on linebacker R.J. Raymond over to offense to help in goal-line work. He did that some a year ago.

----

I like this move. RJ Raymond was the LB, playing DT, in the O&B Game that was killing it. He's over 250 now so I imagine he's a hell of a fullback!

All the players getting reps will be needed (probably) at some point. None of the injuries will require missing next week. Nothing serious so far. fingers crossed.

TOS reporting about last nights scrimmage:

  • All 3 QB's looked good, but Franks is really standing out. He appears to be the clear cut favorite.
  • Martez Ivey was held out of the scrimmage and the offensive line really struggled. They gave up a lot of sacks.
  • The defensive line was the best unit. They have really stepped it up. Especially the ends.
  • Clayton was unstoppable and tallied 4 sacks. Polite was also a beast.
  • The secondary is constantly improving, right now they look good, but not great

Seems like we keep having an olineman being held out for the heck of it all the time now...hopefully the lack of good play is just a result of not having the full starting unit play together at the moment
