I learned it doesnt matter bc Nusschump will instead try to run against 8 man boxes.

There were moments of...improvement? But, for the most part, he needs a solid run game. He isn't a dominant gun slinger who's going to beat good defenses. We need running backs who can keep the ball in their hands.

I disagree. SOS could easily get 350 yards out of him, but SOS wouldnt be afraid to throw and would not shutdown the offense if he threw an INT. He also wouldnt have Brandon Powell on the field.

I learned that when he doesn't overthink a situation, his natural athletic skills don't fail him.

Franks had some miserable plays in this game. He threw late to people, missed reads, wandered into the rush rather than step up. And the windup needs to be made more compact. Heck, he missed seeing a guy wide open down the right sideline for a sure TD earlier in the game. He looked lost at times.

But on the final play, he caught the receiver streaking out of the corner of his eye and cleared out. The throw was a beauty. I'm happy for Feleipe and happier for Gator Nation.

1. He's cool and calm
2. He can throw on the run
3. His mechanics has improved far more than I ever thought possible. I'm blown away.
4. He threw the ball 66 yards in the air and didn't even get a chance to really step into the throw. :eek3:
5. He could be a star but has dumba$$e$ as his coaches.

Some of that is on the QB. I know he's young, but he needs to learn to recognize those situations and have the freedom to change the play at the line if he sees a bad match-up. Just like the sideline screens that I hate, hate, hate because we do it too much. When the DBs walk right up to the line of scrimmage in our WRs faces, he needs to audible out of those quick screens. He's got a lot of learning to do, but I really like that arm of his.
